Ugliest 200 game ever

Start out game one with the front 6, and end up with 213. Opened frames 7,8,9,and 10 by chopping the 3 off the 6, then missing 3 10 pins in a row. Or something to that effect. Barely picked up a spare all night long. If it was choppable, I chopped it. Or just flat-out missed it. 213, 203, 199. Just ugly. 199 had 8 strikes. Yup! Eight strikes, can't shoot over 200. Seems impossible.
I have Monday off work so I'm going to practice in the morning.

I was pretty close. Started my third game Tuesday with 5 up, and finished 220.

Considering all the strikes it could have been a great night if the spares were going down, looking on the upside you still got a 600 out of it !

Sounds like a great game!

I pounded the pocket last night, over 9.2 first ball average, for a 599. Only missed 2 spares the entire night. Used every ball in the arsenal, played outside, inside, down & in, sweep over the middle.......could never got a mark that carried. My high game was only a clean 211.

Sad thing is I fired of back to back clean games last night (only the second time I've had back to back) only to have a 192 and a 188 only 1 strike per game. Sucks to be me.

I guess it all depends on how you look at it. If you had back-to-back clean games, you were obviously bowling pretty well with no hellish splits, etc. You just couldn't carry. That may have been from having the wrong ball in your hand, playing the wrong line, or, it may just have been a pair of lanes that couldn't be had for whatever reason that day. A clean 24 with only two strikes is a tribute to your spare making ability. I would say that it sucks to be someone who only had two strikes in two games and shot back-to-back 130's. Your glass was definitely half full, not half empty!

True enough I subbed in this same house Monday with about the same results except I had a couple of splits and missed a 10 pin ended with a 499 :mad:. First sub 500 in a while. Over the last 6 games there I've thrown my Einstein and my Arson Low flare and neither have been the answer. I get an over/under reaction out of the Einstein and the Arson just simply won't carry makes for a long night.

I'm going to work on many things, but spare shooting will be one of them. I was automatic for months on the 10 pin. Then two weeks ago I couldn't touch one. Same thing last week. It something in my setup that's making me pull everything badly when going cross lane.
It was a crazy night. That last game I had a double and two turkeys and under 200. Second game I had to strike out the 10th to shoot 203. Last two weeks I've been crushing the pocket. My spare game has fallen apart. If I picked up all my spares the other day I could have shot 700+.
I'll get it back. I'll shoot some video and compare with older footage. I'm sure I'm looping my arm swing or my timing is way early. I'll work on it.

Last night I went front 4, 9 dash, double, 9 spare, 9 dash, split in the tenth for a smooth 203. Could have been a really nice game if it weren't for the missed 4 pin, missed 10 pin, and the pocket 7-10.

1 word...GRIND!!!
I'm mentally exhausted from trying to wrap my mind around this feat, can't imagine how you felt after that set!
