How could it have taken until 2016 for a Canadian to win a PBA title? Bowling is quite popular up there. Graham Fachs with the win in Columbus, Ohio, and a major to boot. Not bad , eh?

Sorry, Graham Fach.

Surprising a Canadian has never won but do they have a lot of pros from Canada?

It was nice to see him win instead of a power player like Jesper or Ciminelli. Fach made the best adjustments and was the most accurate player although Cooley did choke in the 10th against him.

There may not be a lot of pros, but bowling is popular up there. With 9 months of winter, an indoor sport does quite well. Don't know how many pros they have on the tour.

Remember 5 pin bowling is big in Canada, in Quebec they got rubber duckpins and in Nova Scotia they bowl candlepins. I checked pba.com Patrick Girard is from Quebec, Dan McLelland is from Ontario, same center as Fachs.

I would have thought Dan MacLelland was going to be the first Canadian. He has a very good game

Some centers in Canada have lanes for 10-pin and duck pin bowling.
