Since it got brought up in another thread, this talks some about having the same layout on different balls.

Great video! As I've been saying for years, if you stick to one or two layouts that work for you, it is much easier to understand the spaces between the balls in your arsenal. Part of the article that I posted pointed out that the idea of using multiple layouts is a carry-over from the pre-modern era when all you had to control ball reaction (such as it was) was surface manipulation and placement of the static weight imbalances. Today, most of the PSO's who still recommend that strategy are either reciting what they've believed for the past thirty years, or, I hate to say it, want to sell bowlers the wrong balls based on their profit margins.

I agree and having just drilled the Melee Hook very similar to the Mastermind with I can see the difference in the BALLs. This allows me to adjust to the lanes with a clearer insight as to what the ball will do.

If more bowlers thought of finding a shape or reaction that fits their unique, individual games, and then adjusted covers and cores for the conditions seen, they would be much more consistent across a wider variety of conditions encountered. GREAT video which explains this perfectly!

Great video. Most of mine are drilled the same, pin up between the fingers with an exception of one with the pin down. The pin ups work well for me and use in different lane conditions due to the cover and block. Thanks for sharing.
