I average 208 in 2 leagues and throw a slow to medium speed ball with low revs. I shoot at the 9-10 board with a release approx. the middle of the lane.
I am throwing the Crux Pearl now. When I started with ball is last year, I was approx. 195 avg and have hit 700 for the first time on 4 different occasions. I heard the Crux Pearl is being discontinued. I am debating on going with another Crux Pearl or another ball altogether. I have a min of 250 games on this ball now.
I have a problem of hitting the pocket a bit light. If I hit light enough, they fight and I am ok. But when I am a bit deeper, I will leave 4 to 6 10 pins a night.
With that said, my Pro Shop guys told me that the Storm IQ Tour 30 might be best for me as it as it rolls fairly close to the Crux Pearl, but snaps just a bit harder than the Crux. Everything I can read on the internet does not support this. He said this is from experience and information from his ball rep who said some pros have had problems with too much bite. Since I have nowhere near the revs of a Pro, this sound good for me, but everything I read does not support this.
Is there anyone that has experience in throwing both Crux Pearl and the Storm IQ Tour 30 on a standard house shot or maybe more information about Storm IQ Tour 30 other than standard reviews I see on some website?
