Well, it was league night. After my practice session Sunday, averaging over 250 and really focusing on my follow through, all I did tonight was fight myself. Just couldn't hit the ball consistently at all. Shot 201 the first game, missed one ten pin and had a split. Second game was a disaster. I couldn't keep a consistent follow thru and ended up with 133 with 5 splits. Kept balling down, moving left but the lanes were fried by the middle of game two.
So the last game, like I have for three weeks now, I used my spare ball. My old Marauder Mutiny at 4000 grit with polish. Buried the front 9 shots, six strikes and three ringing 10 pins. End up shooting 233. Yup, 100 pins higher than game two. I really focused on following thru, plus I kept edging inside. I ended up moving left 17 boards from my opening line.
The pattern hasn't changed, but the volume surely has. I went two months throwing my DV8 Ruckus Feud in game one. Averages 230+ in game one for two months. Now I can't even throw that ball at all. Hooks too much. Started with my Brunswick Gold Rhino Vintage in game one. By game two, I couldn't keep it from turning left like it was being kicked.
I drilled up another Marauder but my fingers swelled up so much tonight I couldn't fit them into the inserts. I'm going to open them up a bit tomorrow to help them. The ball rolled nice with about 3" of flair, but I couldn't get my fingers out cleanly. Oh well.
