I keep over-hooking my Storm Match Pearl. I've tried throwing it to the 1-2 board and to the 10 board, and everywhere in between. Adding any more speed at this point would hinder my accuracy, I feel.

Any tips on how to not over-hook the ball would be appreciated. You guys can go ahead and critique my (probably horrible) bowling form as well. I've only been bowling for about four months now, so I'm sure I have a lot to learn. Thanks!

It looks like you are violently coming around then over the ball and putting a huge amount of side spin on the ball and your left hand is finishing on the right side of your body. So what I would tell you is to try and keep your left hand behind the ball and during your release you just do a quarter turn of your wrist and have your hand finish up around your left ear.

You're probably absolutely correct. It's no doubt a habit from my baseball days. I'll work on that on Monday. Thanks for the advice.

Anything else I should work on?

I say work on one thing at a time and see if you can improve first.

I agree it looks like it would hurt rolling the ball lol

I am no two handed but reaching out with your left arm like your touching your mark could help

Def work on one thing at a time. Get that down after a few weeks then move on to another item.

That will be a really interesting way to force me to not over-turn my hand. It will probably also help with my lofting. Thanks for the advice. I'll try it out on Monday.

No matter if someone says it looks horrible, consider this video.
