The house I play at has a summer fun league. 9 in fine, 8 is great, 7 is heaven.
Does your house have these leagues?

The summer league in my house I am participating in is the "Have a Ball" league that lets you pick a "free" ball from the pro shop at the end of the league.
Not sure if this kind of thing is what you meant but it is my first league in years and I was very concerned about winding up ion a super competitive league and not enjoying myself. This league has been a treat.

Hmmm during the summer we run three leagues
Tuesday is Keno/lottery league. Each week you get a $1 scratch ticket. $5 ticket for each 300 game (up to 3) and it rotates so once each season each team gets a $5 ticket. End of the season it's a reverse draw to win more lottery tickets. 9-pin no tap.
Wednesday is PBA Experience league. Different pattern each week with no repeats. Last night is US Open which we run as an individual handicap tournament. Handicap 80% of 230
Thursday is Take Me Out To the Ball Game League. 9 pin no tap. Each person recieves a ticket to a Reds game with the option to purchase additional at the center's cost (group rate)

On Monday nights I'm in a coached league where I get a Strike King when it's over. (Already traded for my Vintage Danger Zone..lol)
First half hour or so is being coached, which is what I wanted to fix my game a bit, then we bowl a practice game, and then we bowl 2 games that count for our "league". Pizza party and awards when it's all over.
But the main thing is, no pressure at all. And with 8 of us it goes by fast.

I have a Wednesday afternoon league. The summer is just practice no real teams. The team league starts in the fall, I have no clue if there are any prizes or just a party.
