Every on-line bowling distributor seems to have the Brunswick TPU-X high-end shoes on sale at discounted prices. Are they getting out of the shoe business? Wanted to get a pair of better shoes and this pair sounds great, but afraid to buy shoes that I can't get replacement soles for in two years. Anyone know?

And for those who own these shoes, do they seem to be bigger than their sizes should be? I have plenty of sized 11 shoes. Just wondering if I do buy a pair if I should get size 10.5?

The TPU-X shoes came from KR Strike Force, Brunswick just licensed them from them and didn't renew their licensing agreement with them. So their selling off now.

rebranded TPU's can be found under the Hammer and Pyramid name now.

They run pretty true to size.
I've wore Dexter SST's size 12 and they fit good. The SST Toe box is a little wider than a street shoe.

I now have Brunswick TPU-X's size 12 and they at first feel a little narrow. But after wearing for just a little while they got super comfortable. I don't even feel them.

KR handles the warranty and the soles/heels will be around for along time, also Dexter soles and heels will work on them too.

Thanks Bowl1820. Ironically I wanted to buy these because they are ok'd by the PBA as usable shoes, but by the time I'm eligible for the PBA 50 League, they probably won't be and I'll have to buy new shoes anyway. Still would be nice to have some new shoes.

For most cases even after a product is no longer produced after approval it stays on the approved list.

When are you planning to join the PBA50 tour?

In a couple years. Only 48 now

Technically the PBA50 league isn't governed as strictly as to what you can wear and use like the normal tour.

The 10 1/2's are at $20. Darn big feet. I can wear 10 1/2's in a wide but not normal width

The red and black are newer version. Bowl1820 told me this before I bought mine. The shoes are very comfy. Buy the right size, save a dollar on something else.:D

To answer an earlier question, yes they run larger than regular size. My 10.5's are too big for my 10.5 foot.
