On Sunday July 31, 2016 I was elected to a 3 year term to the Board of Directors of the Southern Nevada USBC.

While I have only been in Southern Nevada for just over a year now, I consider this a great honor to be elected into this position, and it is something I certainly will not take lightly.

As I have said in many forums here and other sites, we as bowlers should be as involved with our local associations as much we can be.

While it is certainly a good thing to talk about issues we may have concerning our leagues and USBC representatives, we should find a way to communicate these issues to to our local USBC by speaking with board members and attending meetings. Issues can't be resolved unless they know about it. It is always better to try and be part of a solution :)

Congratulations on your election to the board of directors it is a pretty
cool position to hold. I used to be on our board of directors many, many
years ago but had to resign because I had back problems and couldn't
bowl for a few years.

Congratulations on your election to the board of directors it is a pretty
cool position to hold. I used to be on our board of directors many, many
years ago but had to resign because I had back problems and couldn't
bowl for a few years.

Thank you sir :)

I too have a back back (herniated disk L5-S1 on both sides), a left (slide) knee that needs to be replaced, my right shoulder needs surgery and I have gout in my right foot. BUT, I still bowl despite all of this, and thanks to a coached league that I'm in along with a PBA Experience League, my scores have been climbing.

Between using a "walking" 5 step approach and very short arm swing, these compensations have made all the difference in the world for me.

A couple of people have suggested, that, because I bowl on a 9 Tap Tour, I shouldn't brag about my scoring. But the fact of the matter is, I'm cashing more often than not lately. Whether it's $15 or doubling my money plus, the cashes add up to fill the coffers. But that is for another thread I'm going start very soon...lol
