With the upcoming season approaching, I have a few goals I would like to accomplish.....

1) Move from a 187 average to 195 average, be really happy with a 200 average
2) Have close to half 600 series, or at least more than what I had last year and squeak in 2-3 700 series
3) Make at least 80% of my 10 pins.

I shall post this so it shows up in my subscriptions so I can find it in September when my fall/winter season is starting.

I know little early, but saw some leagues starting in a few weeks. I've been thinking about it the other day what I would like to do. B after practice today, may need to modify it to be a little easier. Lol

First goal is just simply to get back to bowling. Secondly is to raise mt spare shooting percentage.

210 composite avg, sanctioned 300, 90%+ single pin spare shooting. First place in Tuesday league would be nice too

I would really like to increase my pocket hit percentage - spent a lot of time this summer correcting some issues with my left arm that were throwing off my alignment. Hopefully it pays off.

10 pin conversion rate has been slightly less than 60%. I need to fix that so its no longer basically a coin flip.

Average over 210, ball speed at the pins over 16 mph, one or more series over 800

I'm hoping to Avg 200. I have been bowling on very difficult oil patterns over the Summer and i can't wait to see the improvement

Last season I finished with a 190 avg and my team was in 3rd place. Hoping to get the avg to 200 and finishing 1st.

Goals for the year

1. Finish with a 220+ average in Mens League (Finished last year with 216 but only bowled the last 10 weeks. Had a 220 and 218 average in summer)
2. Finish with a 180+ average on my first ever sports shot league.
3. I am transitioning from hooking my spares to using my plastic ball on all single pin spares. Hoping to practice this more and eventually transition to this only at some point in the season.
4. Trying out for my college team next week and hope to make the team.

Here we go! :)

Great thinking Me!

With summer/spring finally over in all of the leagues I was subbing in...I can post my previous goals, how miserably I performed in attaining those goals, and my new nearly as unrealistic goals for Fall/Winter 2016/2017. I DID join a league for the upcoming season...kind've by accident...but at least I know I'm bowling at least once a week. I'm 6th man on another team and will be subbing on Fridays most weeks.

Previous Goals (spring/summer 2016):
1) Bowl a 550+ series every night.
2) Increase strike rate to > 40%.
3) Restore my 76% single-pin spare shooting.
4) Bowl a 270 game or higher.
5) Bowl a 700 series or higher.

I ended up with only about 31% of my series being a 550 or higher, so that was a FAIL.
My strike rate almost made it; 39%.
My single-pin spare shooting actually went down slightly to a 73%.
No 270 games...highest score on Tuesday was a 212. On Fridays I had another 267. On Wednesdays I had a 221, 226, and 233...but NO 270+s.
Also, NO 700 series. Could only manage a high of a 550 on Tuesdays, a 644 on Wednesdays, and a 654 on Fridays.

New Goals (Fall/Winter 2016/2017)
1) Bowl a 550+ series every night.
2) Increase my strike rate to > 40%.
3) Restore my 76% single-pin spare shooting percentage.
4) Bowl a 270 game or higher.
5) Bowl a 700 series or higher.

And since I'm a regular in a league now;
6) Finish in the top 20% of the league in average.
