Looking for a cleaner for my new ball- Wreck It.
BIG factor is smell and toxicity. Looking for something I can use in our small apartment that will not smell terrible or have any toxic issues. My GF has medical issues and the product has to be as unobtrusive as possible while still being effective..

I seen simple green and windex mentioned, but I wanted to see what first hand experience people have had with off the shelf cleaners as well..

Thanks for the assistance..

Whatever you do, don't get the Purple Stuff. It's great but has a very strong toxic odor.

The purple stuff has kind of a floral smell to it. I have smelled a lot worse and stronger.

Storm Reacta Clean is pretty mellow on smell. I have heard good things about the Motiv power gel too.

Man, ain't THAT the truth! lol

Great cleaner, but that stuff lingers around for hours!

Bowlingball.com's Monster Tac is a good cleaner and doesn't have a particularly bad smell.

Motiv Power Gel Clean is a good cleaner and has virtually no odor. (Good bang for a buck you get a 16oz bottle for about the same price as others that come in smaller sizes)

Ole Roy's Front 9 is good, it's smell's like vinegar.

That Purple Stuff is a good cleaner, But kind of pricey and the smell everyone is referring to is Lavender which is potent and lingers.

Reacta Clean is good, smell is about the average of most cleaners

Simple Green/alcohol works, but I don't particularly the smell and others work better.

Plain Alcohol cleans, But smells like alcohol.

I use Monster Tac. Smells like a watered-down bottle of Windex. Can barely smell it at all. Works fine

Another good one I didn't see mentioned it Valentinos Remedy Rx. I don't notice much smell from it and it's one of the better cleaners that I've tried. Yo do have to purchase it through their website http://valentinobowling.com/

I use Clean n' Dull and as far as I've noticed it doesn't have a smell. I can verify next time I'm out at my car, but it seems pretty unobtrusive and gets the oil out quite well.

Clean and dull for me as well. Best cleaner on the market in my opinion and nothing unpleasant about the odor.

Remedy Rx from Valentino bowling is really good and they come with foam applicator so not to waste from over spray. Great for lane lane play and after bowling.

For DEEP CLEAN or after 9 to 12 games, Clean N Dull is the best as far as strength without the smell. (use gloves when using any of these strong chemical products. Over time it can damage your skin or worse.)

Picked up some Storm Reacta and Valentino RX to start. I'll probably get some Clean and Dull on the next go around..

Thanks for all the great info..

Been using LA's Totally Awesome degreaser / spot remover plus isopropyl alcohol. You can get both at most dollar stores and a 50/50 mix works quite well. $2.00 is all that's necessary and the combination will likely last you over a year. Pretty good bang for the buck I'd say.

Tried a lot of cleaners, all Storm cleaners, purple stuff, etc but not every single one, for sure. So far Clean & Dull always gets more dirt out after using any other cleaner, however nothing else shows any further dirt removed after first using C & D, at least for me. I no longer bother with anything else
