We need to make sure every vote counts. Using the electoral college your vote only counts if you are in a battle ground state.

The law must be changed so all votes count.

I completely agree! As a life long NYer there is not reason to vote for the president in this state. The reasoning behind the electoral college is outdated and isn't necessary in today's country.

I also agree 100% why go and stand in line for hours and hours to get to
vote if it doesn't really count for anything anyway except for maybe the
local elections.

I agree with your perspective.

This waste of taxpayer's efforts to have a clean election should've been wiped from the planet a long time ago. As it stands, a candidate just need to win in the right places, rendering everyone's vote useless. This is exactly how the last 4 elections were won.

Must be depressing to be a republican in California and a democrat in Texas. I live in ohio, so my vote matters lol.

1st off I have said it for years the electoral college should be gone (to easy for them to be bought or extorted) Personally with electronic voting machines my concern is the tally could be altered with software thereby stealing an election. No matter how much scandal is brought to light I think this one has already been rigged. (bought and paid for by the foundation)

Exactly right! That being said it's scary to think that most voters have no clue about the issues, how the candidate's voted on issues in the past of who their candidtates are or are not in bed with. Too many believe mainstream media as well as most lies told to them. They can't be bothered listening to a speech themselves and seeing what was or wasn't twisted or taken out of context.
As a combat vet who had friends impacted by Benghazi and other actions by the Secretary of State there is no way I could ever vote for Hillary. That's without even having to go into all the other crap she has been involved in. Seriously, how does a person commit suicide by shooting themselves in the back of the head without a gun? That's power and money right there!

Billf I totally agree ...the one I like is a judge that dies in his sleep while staying in the oppositions camp. Seems like "mob style" politics to me. Booming business for body bags

I think we are in trouble. The states that will decide the election are Florida, Ohio and North Carolina. God help us!

At least here in Florida they require a photo ID before you get your ballet ...maybe that will keep the "dead" from voting

How many dead people have you seen voting?

True. It does seem odd that some would argue with doing away with the electoral college system expressing concern over "votes not counting", then in the next breath argue against requiring ID so we know if someone even has the right to vote, or has not voted three times already. I mean, do they want votes to count or not?

Found this after a quick search. CBS news report on "dead people"voting in California.: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tg2vsq2aDkA

The electoral college has become largely irrelevant (though it did save us from Al Gore), but anyone concerned about votes not counting should be mad as hell about the fraud being committed on a very large scale.

Michigan could decide it, if the above states go red, along with Michigan.

what I don't understand is our current administration allowing the flood of all these refugees. We are having trouble employing our current citizens and your going to make it worst by adding MORE ...really ...all they want is a large number of entitle voters to boost their chances in winning the election

I never thought I would find a candidate dumber than Sarah Palin, then along comes Gary Johnson. Libertarians should be ashamed.

I bet Joe knows where and what Aleppo is. Betcha he can name a foreign leader too. Johnson can't do either but Palin can see Russia from her porch..

You need Snopes to prove that?

I guess Tina Fey's impression of Sarah Palin was so good, many people couldn't tell the difference.

Did you see her endorsement speech for Trump earlier this year? Even he looked didn't know what she was talking about. So Johnson, Palin ticket would be OK?

It's not a ticket I would vote for but that doesn't mean either one of them is stupid. Fact is, I have yet to hear anyone call Sarah Palin stupid who I think is smarter than she is. It's odd to me how she gets singled out by the left as being stupid when they are blind to the lack of mental horsepower lacking in members of their own party. Kind of the, "You disagree with me so there must be something wrong with you" mindset.

This "dumb lady" has a net worth estimated between 12 and 20 million dollars. I you are smarter than she is, what's your excuse?

I made no comment on where the quote came from, I'm just saying Snopes is controlled by the liberal media and is a sad excuse for a fact checker.

We are is a sad position with the massive corruption in Government, plus we no longer have any unbiased news media, if fact we barely have any truthful mainstream news media at all.
The fact is Obama relaxed and over-rode the controls for Federal Benefit programs under the premise that he was helping the needy when he was adding people who never should have been included to ensure the voters he needed to gain a second term, they gave benefits and potentially registered millions of non citizens with the required registration program through DHS. Do you realize we are paying SSI benefits to millions of people that are citizens of other countries and not citizens here at all, and have never even worked here or paid into the federal programs.... all to keep the people right where they want them, if some of these groups wise up they will discover that the Government is really the group keeping them down.
