Wondering what everyone's lineage fees are looking like this season. Our center went up from 12 to 13 bucks.

$11.80 out of the $18 we pay weekly

By the way is it pronounced line-age or lynn-e-edge (they pronounced it the former)

I wish there were leagues around here that cost less than $20. $28-$35 is the average.

Most of the leagues here in Vegas run under $20. If they're $20 or more, chances are it's either a travel league, have a ball, scratch or sport.

And with 14 venues in Vegas, you have a ton of choices as to what you want to bowl in.

Line-age.

It's shy of $12 at my center, creeps up most years though with rising costs of business. Still not bad yet.

Went UP to $11.50 this year from $10.50 the past four years. Guearanteed this price to the leagues for three years. Not bad after spending over 100k in the lanes and monitors.

.Wednesday at 4:45 P.M. We pay $19 of which the lineage is $8.50
Friday night at 8:00 P.M. we pay $21 of which the lineage is $9.80

That's some serious prize money. My leagues are all $15/week with $11.50 lineage. One of our women's league voted to just pay lineage with no prize fund this season. After all you're just winning back a portion of your own money and maybe a friends share too.

I think my two leagues are $13.25 lineage and then $11.25.

There was drama about the lineage of $11.25 in my one league, essentially we were guaranteed if we came back they would honor this lineage. We had the standard league meeting where you vote on all of the rules, the fees, and other random grievances all mom and pops leagues have and all was good. The next week the house comes to us and says that they have decided that our lineage should be $13 ...fortunately since we had already voted and approved the rules we had to have a 100% majority from captains to make any such change.

It is a 24 lane house and we have pay $100 deposit to hold a spot on Friday. That is $2400 more plus $7009 from
50\50.

I have a lot of options with 5 houses within a 12 minute drive and another 6 within a 20 minute drive. But the leagues in all of these houses average about $30.

$30 is that for lineage only or prize money and lineage?

How much of the weekly fee is lineage? That was the question I think?

WOW. That's a lot of money for bowling 3 games.

I'm thankful for what I have here in Vegas or I'd only be bowling 1 night/week.

ep pays a lot because he is bowling in NYC area everything cost more there.
Maybe Vegas should tell us what his lineage is and not just the total fee.

What you pay for bowling in a league is just the beginning of the cost.
Most of us will have a bite to eat and a few drinks.
Then there are mystery games.
Progressive mystery
High game.
High Series
High game w\h
High series w\h
King of the hill
king of the hill w\h
3rd game special
Lucky Strike
Lucky Digit
Brackets

And the house runs a game called Texas holdem 10+ boards each week.

It helps that the bowling centers in Vegas are subsidized by the gambling.

Back in the mid 90's I stopped at the movie theatre inside Gold Coast (I think).

My ticket, a large drink, and a box of candy cost under $5 total.

No doubt about it, but every little bit helps.

As far as the price of a movie and goodies go, I can't speak for that. I haven't been to a movie in many, many years.

Our house just raised the lineage to $12 which to me seems excessive considering the fact that open bowling is $3.50 a game and our league is paying more per game per bowler now than an open bowler off the street would pay.

As I understand there is a cost of doing business, BUT our league is steady weekly money not even factoring in the drinks and food that we buy when we are here every week.

I would think the league would be charged LESS per game than an open bowler or am I wrong?

Our league is slowly losing teams every year and it is because of things like this which frustrates and annoys people enough to not return.

Am I wrong? I am curious to other opinions on this. thanks!

I agree with you but on the other side of the argument the house oils the lanes for your league and I doubt they ever oil for open bowling.

We pay $25 per bowler per week and $12 goes to the house and the other $13 goes to the prize fund and to pay our secretary his "fee"

lol

Good point but I think they oil the entire house on Mondays when we bowl so in this case the open bowlers are getting well conditioned lanes as well.

I see your point but we are down to 14 teams from 24 a few years ago and a few years ago was when they raised our lineage to $11 and people complained that the price per game was above the $3.50 open bowlers pay. Now not sure this is 100% the blame but it didn't help retain teams.
