ring finger...has been brought up before.

I was looking at youtube at slow motion releases and noticed this on this video. look at the finger holes on this guy's ball. ring finger is much lower, I bring this up because I always seem to have a strain on my ring finger.

It's called a Sarge Easter grip. Commonly used to help releive pain in the hand and wrist.

dose it help or hurt carry or hook or is it just for comfort?

Most people see the rev rate drop for a little while. That's the only affect to ball motion. It is for comfort although some people can't get use to it.

well at my speed 12.5 and rev rate? I'd hate to lose anything...lol..

thanks for explaining, I told my PSO about my strain when I got my phaze drilled and asked why the finger holes are equal distance from the thumb and he said the ring finger is actually longer distance from the thumb than the middle finger. Actually made sense...lol

It does since when we look at our hands the base of each finger, where it attaches to our hand, are in different heights when the wrist is straight.

Where do you feel the strain?

the whole finger bliff....like if I put my finger palm down on a table and put pressure on it , it hurts a bit and I haven't bowled in like 5 day's. It may be old age arthritis. Funny it doesn't bother me too much when I bowl, I notice it after..weird....

i would discuss it with the pro shop. They might be able to jusst adjust the pitch to relieve the pressure.
