Just curious how many of you have bowled against a guy who rolled a 300 ?

Just wondering how often that happens, in the last 3 weeks where we bowl a 3 man league with head to head scoring I have bowled against 2 guys that rolled a 300 game and both of them ended up close to 800 against me and I'm bowling lead-off. So far this season there are just 2 300 games, and I was lucky enough to be bowling against both of them!

In 42 years of bowling, I have never had a guy on my pair hit a 300. Unfortunately, that includes yours truly......:(

I've never had one thrown against me in head to head scoring, but I've had two thrown against the team in team score formats. When the first one happened, my team lost the game, when the second happened my team won the game because the rest of the 300 bowler's team mates bowled poorly. LOL

I don't recall ever having one shot against me in team or H2H format.

I've had one thrown against me. In fact, the guy ended up throwing an 830+ (don't remember exactly), by far his highest series ever and from what he said his first 300.

I bowled in an almost scratch Doubles League during the summer of 2015. One night we bowled against Johnny Petraglia Jr. and his wife. Not only did John shoot 300 one game and over 1100 for four, his wife also beat him one or two games. We didn't see many points that night! LOL

the other team's anchor threw a 300 in the first game, our anchor threw a 267

Bowled against a guy who went 300-300-245. We swept them. His team couldn't believe they lost.

In 1981 Tustin Lanes, Tustin, CA. Guy named Jim Tilton who was a PBA member flushed all twelve shots, just a real nice game. Needless to say I lost the point that game. Lanes were oiled gutter to gutter like they were back then.

I have been bowling in this particular league with H2H scoring just a year, over the last 10 years or so I've bowled on the same pair with a 300 bowler quite a few times but never one on my team, have also gotten to see a few 800 series.

In todays series I managed to win 2 points to his 3 in a 4 game series where shot 970.

I can certainly understand that, the wed league I'm in is similar, we have already had a few 300's and a couple of 800's, had one guy a couple pairs shoot 30 in a row (840 something). We also have one guy who has over 100, 300 games in the league. Even after seeing a bunch it's still fun to see.

You had more in your league than our entire center had!


Two season ago in our men's scratch league, second half position round for champioship (we won first half) both anchors started with 300s. Both also bowled on Urbana University's National championship team that year. Anchor threw three that year for a house record then broke his own record last year with 11 with another 3 at a different center. He's 20 years old and I've been coaching him since he was 14. Great kid too.
