As some of you may have read I was having problems when my league started, I shoot 170-180 alone. after 3 weeks i'm averaging 140 in my first league in 25 years. Some of you seen my video of me being way outside the ball. I corrected that and have been shooting 180's to 190's in practice, I thank you all for that. i am behind the ball now through my shot and wow...what a difference i don't pull the ball any more and the ball is hitting hard. Let's see what happens on league day. what I really like is in 3 games I only left 2 10 pins.
Today I threw 3 practice games..
140 first game using my Phaze and playing inside
2nd game I went to my track ball and played outside 185
thitd game same as second 191. leaving a good shot 4-9 in the tenth,

Here's the thing. Start video taping all or most of your sessions. This means your bad and good games. The ability to see yourself vs just the feel is pretty important. On video you can see what you did right vs wrong and correct it. You can't base things off just "feel"

Yea I tried to set my phone on my bag today but couldn't get a good shot with it. I need to get a cheap camera with a small tripod. I'm pissed I sold my go pro, when I stopped Drag racing I didn't think I needed it anymore...who knew...lol

They make some inexpensive small phone holders, look on Amazon "cell phone clip holder" should get you some examples. You could clip one onto a table , chair or similar to hold your phone for 10.00 or 20.00.
Could also stand up your 2 or 3 ball bag and pull up the handle, clip it to that .

As you are aware bowling practice sessions on your own and bowling in league are completely different. Obviously the lane conditions are different. I think the other big factor, one I've struggled with, is that there is more time elapsed in between your shots. Something that has helped me - though I still have work to do - is to pay less attention to the current score on league night and just focus on making good shots frame to frame. Comparing scores from practice to league or even to past results may only serve to add additional frustration. Only my perspective, just seems like you are caught up in your own expectations of yourself, and that they might actually be hurting you. I feel like I struggle with the same.

Are you bowling bad because you can't get the ball to the pocket? If that's the case, are you hitting your target, timing good, ball release consistant?
I don't see anyone on that league sheet who is really killing that condition. Your league condition is probably tougher than the lane condition you practice on, plus when you practice by yourself on one lane you can get into a rhythum.
My recommendation would be to try to get a pair of lanes to practice on and worry more about your timing, release, and hitting what you're looking at than your practice scores. Takes time to get back into the swing of things after you've been away from the game
