This item was readily available all over for a real good price ($10). Now I can't seem to find any. I can find the 100 rolls of white tape or 500 rolls of black tape. But not many options for 100 roll black 3/4 inch tape unless I want to pay double.

Might be just a temporary shortage in your area, since my local distributor has plenty in stock.

Have you tried Ebay? Seeing some at $12-$13 for 100.

I second using eBay for the large rolls. I would use caution on the brand though. With the Brunswick stuff I had residue issues - seemed like a quality control deal. When you would take the black tape off the backing you could see where the glue had extended slightly beyond the edge of the tap all around. Makes for a nice mess. The white tape was even worse and seemed like it was bleeding through the fabric and was ridiculously tacky on the top side. It also made my thumb tacky and a disaster of a night before replacing the rolls. FWIW i never had issues with the smaller packs of brunswick tape, just the large rolls.
The Ebonite black/white rolls have presented no issues to me. The thickness of the black tape is a little greater than some of the others out there, which is interesting. I find it works really well. I am only commenting on their basic tape - not the premium stuff.
From what I've seen on most of the boards, a lot of the tape brands come from the same factory, but I have noticed significant differences between the above companies, as mentioned above.

Take a look at Bowling Index. They have it for $12.00 for either white or black. Brunswick or Powerhouse.

I have been using Brunswick, will try Ebonite. Just like you assumed all made by same company and just rebranded. I do notice my Brunswick tape some of them take so work to remove from wax paper.
