I didn't know what forum to put this in but I had a 3 ball roller and had 2 balls. Then I rented a locker since I live in a second floor Condo. One day 2 weeks ago I seen a guy with 4 balls and like a 217 average with a 2 ball bag. We were talking and ended up trading bags. To make a long story short ( I know too late..lol) the 2 ball bag doesn't fit in the locker either!!! So I still unload the 2 ball bag in the locker and take the empty bag and leave it in my car. I should have kept the 3 in case I ever get a spare ball. Sometimes spur of them moment sucks....lol. They were both like 15 year old bags so no great loss and I paid 25.00 for the 3 ball roller. Not like I took a beating.... This was just a story I felt like telling......

I bought a 3 ball bag and then a 4 ball bag. Never use my locker. If they remembered to charge me for the locker, I would have stopped paying.

I rent a locker cause it's just a few feet from the lanes we bowl on. I keep a two ball tote with balls, extra socks, extra cleaner, towel, an extra pair of SST8's, a roll of white tape, 10" fan, and a picture of Victoria Fuller January 1996 playmate :D

Too bad you couldn't fit your bag in your locker...

well when you live in Florida and you can't leave the balls in your car and live in a Condo 2 flights up...believe me you do not want to take your balls home....lol...I just figured that the 2 ball bag would fit in the locker....It was a spur of the moment trade. I only bowl in one house so it's not really a big deal..I am a Mr. fix it so I can cut the handle down 2 inches so it fits, but I don't have a issue with leaving the bag in the car but I could have just as well left the 3 ball bag in the car also....lol. I'm the type of guy that will help anyone and he needed the 3 more than me.

Our center does not charge us for lockers now days and they let us keep our
roller bags in a storage space behind the lockers also for free.

that is cool that they offer a place to store big ones, maybe they do in my house but you have to know someone, I know there's a locked room next to the pro shop. .... I paid 26.00 for the first year which is .50 a week and to renew is only 20.00 so it's well worth it even if you do not use it a lot. I just feel stupid for trading the 3 for the 2 since I could have just left the empty 3 in the car and the 3 balls would easily have fitted in the locker with no bag..... Oh well...like I said spur of the moment and if I do get a plastic spare ball I think I can handle rolling the 2 bag and the 3rd ball in a sling...lol. I really do not think I will be bowling in any other houses since this one is 5 minutes from my house and they are good people.

Eh I'm in FL and have kept the majority of my balls in the trunk for about 3 years now. Onlys ones that ever cracked were sitting under my bed

I was originally leaving mine in the trunk also, it was the people here who scared me enough to stop doing that....lol... I think it's hotter in the Tampa Bay area than where you are....Just making excuses for myself...lol

One thing about Michigan, our summers are typically not hot enough to overheat the balls, but the winters can get a little brisk, so as long as my balls are not sweating in my trunk (this sounds bad, I just don't know how to make it better) I usually just store my balls in my trunk. But the winter I need to bring them inside otherwise they get too cold... Most companies I have talked to they recommend not allowing the balls to go above 130°F Most of the time they start to sweat around 115°F... Never asked about a minimum temperature tho.

Personally I would have kept the 3 ball bag, gotten a plastic spare ball...

Do these lockers use individual keys or one key that everyone uses? Our house is the latter so there is no way I would leave my equipment.

Our house uses one key for all and leaves the key in open site by the front counter. I don't have a big problem with it even if I leave three balls in my locker. Honestly bowling balls aren't big theft items and virtually no resale value.

not so much worried about someone stealing it so much as messing with you. You come in for league go to your locker and your equipment is gone either in another locker or out the door forcing you to not bowl that night or use a house ball. Some people are just spiteful and want to win at all costs

If that was ever a concern forget locker issues I would high tail it out of that center and never look back.

That was one way of fixing it. I was going to say why don't you just leave the balls in the locker and the empty bag in your car. So when you bowl, you use the bag to get from the locker to the lanes and you have the bag in case you need to bring the balls to another center.

yes that's not a problem but now I have a choice...lol...I am just the type of guy that has to fix anything broken or at least take it apart and try....EX...I am using my laptop which fell and was destroyed, I took it all apart and put it back together and bought a USB keyboard for 2.50 at big lots and the rest of it is held together with duct tape. My problem is that when I buy a another used laptoptop I do not know how to get everything from my HD to the new one...

I had this happen to me. Blue Pearl Hammer was stolen from a locker was my favorite ball ever. I'm pretty sure it was a competitor that did it.

Since I bowl in multiple places I don't have a locker, and quite frankly I don't want one. I want to have control of all of my equipment at all times.

I would like that also but hate to carry 2-3 balls up 2 flights of stairs when I get home.

Since the wife & I have some physical issues, we don't do stairs. Thank god this town has elevators all over the place. lol
