Just curious, do you pay your league fees off faster or as you go through the season? My team tries to get them paid off before the New Year. As fees are expensive, paying as you go helps, but having that fee paid off sure feels nice!! My fees will be paid off this week.

My Girlfriend & I pay 2 weeks at a time.
One of my team mates pays 10 weeks in advance and the other pays by the week.
We use to pay a dollar extra a week to pay off the last 2 weeks early, Now we just pay it off a few weeks before.
On one team I was on some team mates payed the whole season off the first night.
Paying weeks in advanced is okay, you don't have to worry about paying every time you walk in.
But it's a lot of money up front, also you could run into problems getting your money back. If you have to quit the team or the team folds up etc.

I pay as I go. My Weds league is $19 a week and I just give $20 each week so most likely the last 3 or 4 weeks I'll be paid up.

I usually pay a month or two at a time, and I try to have them paid off by March at the latest.

As treasurer in one of my leagues I see the different ways that people approach this subject. We have one team that takes great pride in paying the exact amount each week. Another team rounds up to the next multiple of ten and then takes a week off from paying when they get a full week ahead. This season, one team has paid for the first half of the season.

I try to be 3 or 4 weeks ahead so if something comes up ( such as a hospital stay) I'm not behind. My Friday team paid a month at a time

Try to do 3-4 weeks at a time but some weeks just 1 week. Ideally would like to just write a check for the whole season ($18 x 33 weeks = $594) but with 2 leagues it's not in the cards

I usually just pay each week. Depends on the league but half the time I round up. Like summer league is 16...I put in 20 a week and after 4 weeks I take one off, then repeat

I pay week to week. Have a couple team mates that pay in advance but that has bitten one of them. After I think week 5 and he had paid through 12 weeks, his wife was diagnosed with lung cancer, he hasn't been back to bowl since that time. Not sure that he will be back to bowl.

I usually pay by the month - less to worry about in my mind.

Pay $23 a week for 33 weeks. Wrote a check for $759 on Friday. On Tuesday we pay $19 for 31 weeks. Paid $20 the 1st night and $500 the next still owe $38.

4 leagues gets expensive, so I pay as I go, but I usually pay at least one of them off when I get my yearly bonus. Definitely cutting one league next fall though.

Thoughts & prayers to your teammate and his family.
For me, I pay week to week unless I know in advance that I won't be there. Then, I'll pay a week or two ahead depending on the length of possible absence.

On Monday evenings, we pay for two or three weeks at a time, as it's for both of us and $20/night.
On Friday mornings, I take my winnings from the season prior and pay for the end of the current season (take summer season winnings and apply to the last weeks of fall season), then I pay a month at a time, as I tend to only get paid once a month. Fall takes longer to pay, but sometimes summer will be paid in full with my fall winnings!
On the Flex league, I pay as go, as they have trouble keeping up with prepayments.
All my leagues require for the last two weeks to be paid early; usually by the 6th week of bowling. That way if you have to quit, you have your two week notice paid. Also, this gives the house/secretary time to withdraw funds and prepare the prize fund envelopes.

I like paying cash. It is week to week for me. All my leagues require for the last two weeks to be paid early; usually by the 6th week of bowling. That way if you have to quit, you have your two week notice paid. Also, this gives the house/secretary time to withdraw funds and prepare the prize fund envelopes. This is true for me too, classygranny :).

This year, I pay ahead to my next paycheck. Next year, I'm hoping to save up before the season so I can pay up front.
