.....................
And as a Brunswick staffer, I can only recommend balls in the Brunswick family line.
..................................

Vegas are you on a bowling ball company's staff? I didn't realize that. How much does it cost to get on a staff? You should have mentioned it before.

Yes. I am a non paid staffer with Brunswick. While I did not pay anything directly to Brunswick. I did it in a way by buying & paying for their equipment before I was on staff.

My agreement has an exclusivity clause, a personal conduct clause & a dress code that allows me to wear the "Team Brunswick" on my shirts.

I got this and became a team member of Lane Side Reviews back in August.

And YES. Chuck Gardner (Chuck On The Truck with Brunswick) knows about this and saw it on my shirts at the US Open at South Point.

And Rob Johnson, who runs Lane Side Reviews, added me as a member of #TeamLSR.

NOTE: The last 2 sentences were added only as a confirmation and not to be considered a smart mouthed remark. They were added just to point out who knows about it. Thanks.

Has lane side reviews used you on any of their videos yet? That would be fun to do.

Not yet, but we're hoping to do something when he comes to Vegas again. And considering they're about an hour north of Toronto, it's a tad difficult for either of us to get together to make a video..lol

I will say that Rob & I have become very good friends since we finally got to meet at Bowl Expo 2016, and I am certainly proud to be a member of #TeamLSR :)

And I certainly cannot forget to add that Scoops is a friend as well despite the fact we haven't met yet, but we do communicate on Facebook.

And because his father Wayne Porter and I have very similar bowling releases, I watch what Wayne does constantly when I feel my game is off, and Scoops has certainly passed on my messages to his father.

Is this serious? He crow bars in to every single post that he's a Brunswick staffer.

I do so because I cannot speak intelligently about other companies, and I cannot do so because I can't throw their equipment.

If you think I'm kidding, take notice of Rob Johnson on his reviews. He can discuss them because of what he knows, but he doesn't throw any equipment from other than from the Brunswick family.

So who did you know to get on Brunswick? A friend of mine had a proshop owner recommend him directly to the rep and got turned down (got a free ball though). He has had a mid 220 average for years and multiple 300/800. As a staff player why are you still buying balls from the proshop? All the staff players I know get the balls direct from mfg.

As part of my agreement, I can't disclose who it was.

As far as getting balls, except for my Ruckus Schizo (early 2015), Vandal Smash (via trade) and BTU (discounted), my others were purchased before any agreements were made. And in order to get other equipment I have to go thru certain people for order/delivery & especially drilling.

I can see where this is going. While vegas's averages may not meet the definition of a company staffer that we have in mind a company also wants a good representative. I have known many people on ball staffs and some could not hit water if they fell out of a boat outside a house shot and do little to promote their ball company let alone the game itself. In vegas's case he is involved in high school bowling and a board member in his area. I'm sure he talks to many people about bowling in general as well as promote his ball company of choice. Brunswick could do a lot worse for the promotion of the sport like some staffers that talk to no one and walk around with a stick up their a**. Now i don't no vegas but he seems to love the game so more power to him. Keep spreading the love of bowling and turn some people on to it as you go.

Agreed. The subtle jabs at vegasbowlers "low" average is pretty low. He probably does more than most staffers anyways

Thank you for that :) And you are also very correct in what you say otherwise.

As a SONV USBC Board Member, I have to be around many people that are so much a part of this game. The position also makes me an ambassador as well.

So when you combine that, being a part of the 9 Tap Tour in Vegas (with Brunswick being one of our sponsors), Lane Side Reviews and many other bowling related activities, Brunswick thought it was a good idea.

I also agree that some of the staffers that are out here from all of the companies, are too stuck on themselves to even say hello to somebody, or who like to talk down to people. I know a couple of them that are like that and I even suggested, that, the next time they go to WalMart, they might want to get themselves a personality.

I have my moments too, but I have to act with restraint as much/best as I can. Especially when I have my name shirt and any of the Brunswick logos on me.

Dave Allen who is on the PBA Tour has become a good friend and even asked for my advice during the US Open here at South Point, and I am certainly proud of the fact that he has enough respect for me to even ask.

It has not only been a great thing to become a part of Brunswick & #TeamLSR, but humbling as well, and nobody is more appreciative of how well things have gone for me, and I don't take it lightly.

I must have missed it can you please quote the post in this thread where anyone other than yourself mentioned that Vegas is a low average bowler. I apologize in advance if I overlooked it.

It's not specific to this thread but there have been subtle hints throughout the board concerning vegasbowler's "qualifications"

Why does Vegas's average have to with anything anyway. He's not claiming to be god's gift to bowling or anything like some(sniper). He is apparently active enough in his community that someone thought it was a good idea and he's proud of it. Can any of you say that if you had the opportunity you wouldn't take it? My guess for most of us the answer is yes you would. My coach is a Brunswick staffer, one of my friends is a staffer and a few other people I bowl with are Brunswick staff. My PSO is a former Brunswick staffer and pro bowler one thing I will say for them they are like family. I've met staff from other companies and none of them take care of each other like the Brunswick guys do.

Also this post started as a bowler asking for help and you guys have completely buried their original post if you want to compare d### sizes start another post to do it.

Thank you my friend :)

As far as what you said about what I highlighted, you couldn't be more on the money with the people from Brunswick.

Before I got in with Brunswick, Sean Rash and I became friends and have talked about many different things.

Parker Bohn III talks to me every time I see him. So does Johnny Petraglia, Sr., Bob Learn, Jr., Jon Van Hees, Chuck Gardner, Rob Johnson and many others, while naming only a few. They are all fabulous people!

I have also talked with many other pros, and have friendships with those that I have come in contact with. But there is something special about the people from Brunswick where they make you feel like you are truly a part of them. Heck, a couple of them have met my wife and she was impressed as to how they were talkative to her.

And another thing you said was bang on target as well. Pretty much everybody here would jump on an opportunity like this, no matter who the company is.

And just as I do not get paid for it, there is always the hope that it could happen one day. But for now I don't care because I have my foot in the door, and if this is as far as it goes then so be it. Either way, I am proud to say that I am a part of Brunswick.

And for those who might say I'm bragging about this, just remember this....It ain't bragging if you can do it.

It was the posts "defending" Vegas that were in reality putting him down!
