All shoes get dirty. White shoes just show the dirt/dust more.

The important thing with bowling shoes is to keep the slide sole from getting wet. This is why if your shoes did not come with a pair of protective booties you should get some to use if you have to go to the lavatory, bar or snack bar while bowling.

I'm waiting for "will my round ball roll?" As his next question.

Anyone know of a shoe cover that is easier to put on. Like a ski. Most are too small and bending down so much is hard on these old knees.

I got some made by BSI they are larger than others of similar size I've had.

You could check into custom covers, A lady I bowled with years back worked at a Dive shop. She made me some from the neon colored nylon they use for diving suits. They lasted for years.

are you allowed to wear shoe covers when you bowl?

For a bowling expert who is insistent on coaching other people, shouldn't you already know these things? Shoe covers are meant to protect the slide sole from getting wet, you only wear them when you are off the approach.

Or leaving the settee area for the can or for the bar.

I wear black socks with darker shoes (basically non white). Nothing to do about dirt but I'm a "dark" kind of person :)

Come on everyone the game evolves.... get on board. Lets just imagine cosmic bowling night with the lights flashing off your silver shoe covers and your 10 lb plastic ball as it soars gracefully through the air half way down the lane. Stunning sight to think about if you ask me. And surveying his domain behind the lanes is the new Mark Baker.... the new guru of coaching and modern bowling... you guessed it SNIPER. Videos, books, live streaming coaching, websites and the game will be changed. Get on board early and evolve with the game or be left behind. Just saying.:)

I have seen players wear show covers when they have bowled, and it didn't end well. Both times the bowler face-planted.
