The pba has a bowling ap for phones and tablets is pretty decent

The PBA app is good (but a bit slow running in my experience and it takes a bit to get the nuance of the controls down). I also really like the Galaxy Bowling 3D - I got mine through amazon underground so there's no ads or whatever. Galaxy bowling is neat in that it also includes candlepin, duckpin, ninepins and a couple types of skittles.
I don't think either work through the browser, though.
