I started out with a 149 game. Our league hasn't bowled for four weeks because of the holidays. I thought that this night was not going to be good. The second game I started out with five spares and got an open in the sixth frame. I took the tape out of my thumbhole because I was hanging up. Yahooo! I got six strikes in a row for a 218 game. The last game was a 157. I kind of lost the last game because I made a late decision on moving left because of oil pushdown. That decision was made in the tenth where I got two strikes and an eight pin count on my last ball. I wish I made that decision at the beginning of the third game. I am left handed by the way. I was playing between the 5 and 10 boards. I used a Hammer urethane ball.
Oh well, at least my average keeps going up. I started the year with a 129 average and after last night I am up to a 146 average. I used to be a 186 average bowler but had 3 surgeries in the last year and a half. That is why I haven't been practicing. So I am not doing bad considering. Never give up the ship.

That's awesome!! I work during the time my league meets, so I have to leave to go bowl on that night. We normally only get 10 mins before we start to warm up and for me that's not enough, considering everyone only wants to throw one ball regardless of what they leave (this is very annoying). Anyway, two weeks ago I was able to get there early enough to have 2 full warm up games, also after holiday break, and it helped me out tremendously during normal play. My first game was around 150+, my second was 223, and third was 180+; I finished that night with a 589 series. I'm a 164 average and each week my goal is to go up by one point, so far I've met that except for two weeks.
Keep up the good work and keep increasing your average!! Happy Bowling.

Congrats on that 223. I have been bowling for 30 years. Now that I have put in several league nights my release is a lot better. My style is going from cupped to uncupped in the release. My release is so good that I use my Hammer urethane ball and can get it to hook well. It was really working last night. I just need more time on spare pickups. Being left handed the seven pin leave is my nemesis. I need more practice on that. Happy bowling to you and good luck.

All good news above, My average is up maybe 5-8 pins since the beginning, and yes I hate people that throw one ball in practice and then foul. There's only one shot left after they do that. I use that practice time to get my body and hand warmed up so I need both shots.

Great job! Pay attention to any pains related to your surgeries. Keep it up!

I really loathe the people that leave their second ball, then they look at you crazy when you throw a house ball gutter to reset the pins because the button doesn't want to reset for you. And I look at them like "well you should've picked it up if you were that concerned about it"

Sometimes that early start can screw you, if you let it. My average on Monday right now is 159. Started game one pulled the ball ap hard to take the 2-4-7. S cond shot exact same thing for a 3 count first frame. Solid pocket hit for ringing ten second and missed that.....12 after 2. Managed to shoot 166 for the game. Not great I know, bit for me it was over average and after that start a great score lol.
