... that determine how to play a particular lane? Bowlers love to attribute everything to the oil pattern, but there are five other elements involved. Can you name them?

Topography, temperature and humidity are 3 that I can come up with right away. Too early in the am for me to think of the others. lol

lane surface friction? I know for me wood plays way different than synthetic.

One of the elements should be how many 8 year olds chucking 6lb balls into the bumpers at a birthday party next to you during practice lol.

environment - from bowlers to ambiance (lighting, ceiling height, etc...)

And I seem to bowl lights out when the lanes/alley faces to the west.... something about sunsets....
