I've been bowling 34 years and this is the first time I've ever heard of Kegel. I don't understand where this came from and is it synonomous
with bowling

Boy you really been out of the loop then! Kegel and the Kegel Training Center have been around for years.

Kegel http://www.kegel.net/ Kegel has been around for 35 years, They produce some of the top of the line lane machines, Oils and other products, Lane maintenance, Pinsitter parts etc. Lane patterns http://patternlibrary.kegel.net/PatternLibrary.aspx, they develop new technology such as their Lanemapper which shows the lane topography.http://www.kegel.net/topography-study/

The Kegel Training Center is one of the top bowler coaching centers in the country and other parts of the world. Pretty much when the Pros need to work on something they went there. But anybody can go there, Even I went there a few times years ago back when they were at the original location in Sebring, Fl. It's not cheap, But it's worth it.

They have some of the best coaches, they teach bowlers, proshop operators, coaches. They have all the best computer aided tracking and analysis equipment, adjustable topography lanes. They develop new tech also. such as their new SPECTO ball tracking system http://www.kegel.net/specto/.

You can see in a lot posts here and in the other forums, articles citing info that has came from Kegel.

If it's connected with bowling they got a finger in it.

The word kegel comes from german and was what 13th century germans would have called a bowling pin.

Depending on where you're from, you may hear bowlers refered to as kegelers.

I know, this seems funny BUT...

Unfortunately, you are wrong. If he is doing them, they are probably creating more benefits for him than they do for us women. Check it out, read up on it, there are probably 5-20 benefits men can get from doing the kegel exercises. askmen.com probably has some good information as well as some other sites for men's health.

Well, I'm pushing 50 and never had a doctor tell me about this. But as I have looked it up, turns out classygranny is correct.

My problem with Kegel is that the on line scrabble game I use does not recognize it as a word. Maybe they think it should always be capitalized but it does have a meaning where it is not capitalized. Small minded people.
