Well started the Thursday night fall league tonight
had a pretty decent night all in all except for back
to back 7-10 splits on the left lane the first game.

Ok on to the scores

1st game 190 with those %$&^ back to back pocket 7-10 splits :mad:
2nd game 228
3rd game 258

for a decent 676 series off to a good start I guess.

I agree. I've been seeing far more pocket 7-10 splits than I ever remember encountering in the past...not sure why. It's a helluva price to pay for a pocket hit.

I know it is really weird how many 7-10 splits have been popping up lately
used to be maybe you'd get one per night years ago but not now days......

Well the bomb dropped on me the first game last night just couldn't
get it together but second and third games were a little better not
quite as good as last week though.

Tried out the app BDSS bowl drill score stat maybe I figured out how
to use it hopefully, well on to the scores

Absolutely a terrible night tonight on the first game anyway
and not all that great the second and third games we were
on the set of lanes that has the bad racks on every frame
and absolutely no carry on pocket hits.

Well this week of bowling was a major bust makes me want to throw
all of my equipment away or just throw it over the side of the bridge
into the river and quit the game. I just could not carry the 10 pin at
all no matter where I hit the pins at we had the right lane hooking like
a crazy banshee and the left lane sliding all the way down.

I was talking to the lane man and he said even he couldn't get anything
going on the lanes either said he has bowled bad the last 3 weeks too
and he's the one that does the lanes on top of that. :mad:


Oh well onto the crappy scores and series. :(

for a whopping 471 series if this trend keeps up every week I might just

Well a better week this time around had a better shot than
we've had the last 3 weeks I think they finally got the lane
machine straightened out.

Something strange is I never hung a 10 pin until the first
ball in the 10th frame of the second game and made it the
only bad thing is I missed one in the 3rd game and dropped
the ball in the fill ball on the last game and guttered it oh
well on to the scores.

3rd. game 186 with a missed 10 pin and a dropped ball.

Well it wasn't my best week of bowling by far but I guess
it was pretty good since my knees and back was giving me
fits all night long and hurting like $#@^. LOL!!!!!!

Well got off to a rocky start the first game this week as I was
try to break in the new Brunswick Edge Pearl that I won off of
here a few weeks ago man that ball is a monster.

I tried playing my normal shot but the ball was not going to
have that..........no way.......... as it would hook all the way
across the lane from the 2 board on the right side.

it looked like it was going to set right where I wanted it until
it come of the oil and hit the friction then bang it was gone to
the left side of the lane oh well end of the rant on to the scores.

game 1. 179 with the new Edge Pearl ball that was uncontrollable :eek:
game 2. 231 went back with my regular ball the Hammer Badass
game 3. 224 using the Hammer Badass

for a respectable 634 series.

Going to see what I can do to tame that Edge Pearl down somewhat.

Well had a decent 1st and 2nd game then my knee popped
on me the 3rd frame of the 3rd game kind of went downhill
from there on had my first open looked like I was going to
get 30 clean until then.

for a 643 series could have been and should have been closer
to a 700 series but oh well........

Wow what a terrible night last night tried to use the Brunswick Edge Pearl
that I won off of here a few weeks ago the first game and I've tried a few
different surface changes on it to try and tame it down but it's still a no go.

I can loft the left gutter cap and throw it all the way out to the first board
and it still hits brooklyn even throwing it flat handed for a straight ball it
still goes crazy and goes left.

I guess I'll have to take it down to 500 grit or maybe 360 grit so it will burn
up early and hook less either that or put a P1 hole in it and try again oh well
onto my sorry scores for last night.

First game I used the Edge second and third game I used my ol' trusted ball
the Hammer badass but we had one on the other team throwing a urethane
ball and killed my shot with carry down on my line for the third game.

3rd game 182

Well last night was quite a bit better than last week's scores
I had a little bit better ball reaction but not a lot just a little
after I made the adjustment after the first two frames of the
first game which were opens.

Man what a night last night was and not in a good way either
as I just could not carry the pins I hit the pocket constantly all
the first game and most of the second game but never did get
rewarded for it.

I could have and should have had a 300 game the first game
but I just couldn't carry it was either a strike or a nine count
would have been a good no tap game though. LOL!!!!!

The last game I just couldn't for the life of me make my single
pin spares as the ball kept sliding by them but come very,very
close to making the 2-8-10 and the 7-10 splits as I bounced
out pins from the back and wiggled the 10 pin on both of them
almost knocking it down.

Oh well so much for the complaining on to the sorry scores

Well it seems I had a repeat of last week on pocket
hits just no carry at all. I tried several different lines
and different balls but to no avail. I just said well I
guess I couldn't carry the pins with a freight train or
a Mack truck. LOL!!!!

Okay I had a better night last night made me feel a little more
confident in my bowling abilities even though we were bowling
on the worst lanes in the center lanes 1 and 2. I got close to
hitting that 300 game in the 3rd game oh well on to the scores.

3rd game 262....... had a 1 or 2 board pull in the 4th frame that
killed my 300 game other than that pull I was right on my mark

Well not as good as last week's scores but still not a real
bad week considering the way the shot was. If you hit one
board you was in the pocket but hit one or two on either side
and it was either a wash out or through the nose for a split.

It made you really think and concentrate on each shot which
was a good thing IMO but a lot of the other people were really
raising cane about it because they were so use to a easy shot.

Well another week, another round of weird pin carry on the lanes
and another week of a weird oil pattern with maybe a one to one
and a half board shot again this week which made me think extra
hard before each shot which is a good thing.

Oh well so much for the complaining on to the scores.

2nd. game 179 with some really weird pin carry in the 2nd game especially in the 9th frame
bounced 2 pins around and stood both pins back up and spun one over into the 5 pin spot and
the other into the 3 pin spot.???????? :confused: :confused: :confused: Oh well we won 3 out of 4 points

Oh man what a terrible night it was on Thursday night 1/18/18 just
could not carry pocket hits because of off spot pins in the racks on
lanes 9/10 the worst lanes in the center.

I haven't seen that many splits between 2 teams in my life I was
glad it wasn't just me getting all of those splits. We could re-rack
over and over and still get a split we just couldn't get a good rack
at all.

The guy on the other team kept leaving the 5-7 split on his pocket
hits on lane 10 three frames in a row talk about someone going off. LOL!!!!
I kept leaving either the 4-7-10 or the 6-7-10 splits on what looked
to be good pocket hits and left some other crazy leaves that I have
never left before like the 3-4-5-10 split on a good hit.

I told the owner(s) about those lanes years ago and they all have just
said well there is nothing they could do about it as it was the machines
doing it so last Thursday night I told the owner that owns it now that I
probably would not bowl on those lanes next time we were scheduled to
bowl on them and a couple of my other team members told him the same
thing as well as a couple of the other teams members told him the same
thing.

It was the worst night of bowling I've had since the 4th week of bowling
oh well so much for the rant so on to the scores.

Well had quite a bit better bowling night this week than
I had last week that is for sure.

The first and second games were pretty close but I got a
little bit lost in the transition the third game as several of
the other bowlers moved into my line and killed my shot but
overall it was still a decent night.

I missed 2 easy spares that I shouldn't have I missed a 4 pin
in the 2nd game and a 7 pin the 3rd game ball slid by had a
lot of oil in the middle of the lanes oh well so much for all of
the complaining on to the scores.

Well another week in the books not my best showing by far but
a little better than a couple of weeks ago not by a lot though.

Started off with a pretty good look on the lanes but by the 8th
frame of the 1st game I was searching for another line found
one for last 2 frames and most of the way through the 2nd game.

Had a lot of oil in the middle of the lane which caused me to miss
a 7 pin and I also missed 2 10 pins with the ball sliding by it never
gripped the lane going across lane it just kept sliding which is very
unusual for our center.

All in all not a bad night but I've had better nights it seems as though
I'm stuck on 181 games for the 3rd game for the last 2 weeks hope it's
not a sign of things to come. LOL!!!!!!

Well Dang we got stuck on lanes 9 & 10 again the worst lanes in the center
I could drill the pocket at will but just couldn't get the carry the guy on the
other team was cursing every breath at the pin carry or the lack of pin carry
that is.

I could hit the pocket at will but just couldn't get the pin action needed to
carry a strike on a solid pocket hit because of bad racks and off spot pins.

I stood there and re-racked around 6 times straight in a row and never did
get a good rack so I just gave up and shot whatever kind of rack that came
up after that no re-racks as to not stand there re-racking all night and still
not get a good rack.

Oh well so much for the complaining on to the scores.

Who leaves a solid 5 pin on a solid pocket hit this guy that's who in the
9th frame of the 2nd game. LOL!!!!!!!!

I said last time that I wasn't going to bowl when we were secluded to bowl
on lanes 9&10 but didn't know until we got there so went ahead and bowled
but wish I hadn't.

I guess it wouldn't be any fun if you knew that you were
going to shoot a 600 every time you bowled.

Got off to a decent start the 1st and 2nd games but the
shot just kind of fizzled out for me the 3rd game or maybe
it was just me that fizzled out I might of had one or two
too many Captin Morgan's and Dr.Pepper for the night. LOL!!!!!!

Okay I've had some computer troubles for the last week or so that
is why I haven't had the chance to post my scores for the past week
but all is well now I just went and bought a new computer system.

Okay will post last Thursday nights scores today finally I'm
able to do it again after the computer crash a couple of weeks
ago.

Well my scores have seemed to crash also for the past few weeks
not sure why as everything is the same except we are bowling on
the lower lanes of the center which I kind of hate bowling on them
as they just do not carry all that good.

Oh well so much for the complaining on to the pitiful scores
for 3/01/18. LOL!!!!

Just check out all of the 9 counts that I received on decent to good
solid pocket hits and you'll see why I don't like bowling on the lower
lanes of the center.

should have a 700+ series if it wasn't for my screw
ups missing single pins and I can not believe that I
missed all of the 3-6-10 pins I just pulled the ball on

Yes this is an app for android phones call BDSS or Bowl,Drill,Score,Stats
you can get it for I believe it is .99 cents for keeping up with one person's
scores or something like $4 or so for keeping up with multiple peoples scores.

You can get it thru google's play store when I got mine it was free but it
will cost you .99 cents now but it is well worth the price.

Wahoo finally the last night, and thank goodness I had a rough go of it
the second game back to back pocket hit 7-10 splits on both lanes and
it just threw the rest of my game off and I didn't really care though just
glad it is all over with was hoping for a 600+ series to end it with but oh
well close enough anyway.

All I can say is I had a real split tastic game the second game. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!
