First Varipapa 300

Background: I’ve been bowling since 1975, most of that time I was in a social league only bowling once a week and only occasionaly bowling with friends outside of league. I have only gotten serious about the sport since 2009.

Today, I ran out the last 7 frames of the second game and started the last game with a triple for 12 consecutive strikes. I think my best string previously was nine. I feel pretty good going into this Saturday's “Try to beat your coach” event.

Nicely done I've managed 16 in a row without throwing an actual 300 just my luck lol

Had 17 in a row for a max. Last 9 and 1st 8. It was back in the late 80's to mid 90's. I was a strike or no count bowler. I had a bunch of 11 strike games, not in a row. Usually 260 something games with a split, gutter or missed 10 pin. The 1st 300 is something special no matter how many you get.

Thanks guys. Now that I know I can get that many in a row I just need to figure out how to get past the 6th frame. my highest scores always have at least one spare in the first 5 frames. When I get the front five, the wheels usually fall off in the sixth and I wind up in the low 200s.

I have three of those nasty A.V. games now. 17 in a row is personal best, with no 300 to show. 3 279 games since the beginning of the year. Grates on ya after a while.....

My heigh is I think 7-8 ina row for a high 255 lol. But my friend is in a similar spot as you. Pretty good bowler, no 300s yet, but a few times has got 12 in a row over two games with a high of 16-17 in a row I think. Very frustrating indeed
