Clean game under 200

Ever manage to pull that off? Last night I bowled my third ever clean game while only scoring 196. Never managed back to back strikes. It seems like it would be a fairly rare occurrence to do that well on converting spares while having so much trouble finding a strike ball in the same game.

I'm pretty sure I have, too. It's disappointing since it feels like so much more work than stringing together a few strikes for a much better score (even with an open or two) would have been.

Yeah. I was at 202 with 3 open frames in the previous game. The 196 definitely felt like a better game.

Since my spine started to disintegrate, I usually use a plastic spare ball for my strike ball. As I'm very accurate with spares, I regularly throw clean games under 200.

Shooting under 200 in a clean game has happened to me but what I hate is all spare games. Not to many of them. After 9 non strike frames I tend to get angry and throw a bad shot.

Yeah. I was at 202 with 3 open frames in the previous game. The 196 definitely felt like a better game.

Call me crazy, but I'd be more proud of a lower score if it means no open frames.

Is 90 a mistype? If not what does it mean? 90 in a row would be really good.

no mistake i had 3 lean games. I did that 6 weeks straight in one of my leagues. The the rest of the weeks were 600-700+ because those weeks i was able to strike

So are you saying here you shot 90 spares in that 589 series?

In a 3 game series the most spares you can shoot is 30 spares.

Now if you meant you went 9/ for a 589, okay though you'd need a strike or two in there some place.
