LAS VEGAS - Las Vegas is known as the Entertainment Capital of the World, and bowling fans are in for a treat this Saturday when Cashman Center opens its doors for Bowlfest, a special event created to celebrate the sport and give fans a chance to meet their favorite bowlers.

Bowlfest is being held in conjunction with the USBC Masters, one of four majors on the 2008-09 Lumber Liquidators Professional Bowlers Association Tour schedule.

Terry Fator, the celebrity impressionist/singer/comedian/ventriloquist who recently won "America's Got Talent," will be the headliner at Bowlfest, while superstar bowlers Carolyn Dorin-Ballard, Wendy Macpherson, Shannon O'Keefe, Del Ballard Jr., Bob Learn, Brian Voss and Jim Cripps (The Backwards Bowler) show their stuff on the lanes.

The two-hour event (5-7 p.m.) will include:

* The official practice session for the four Masters finalists
* An autograph session with the finalists and featured pros
* A trick shot showdown
* A media match featuring local television and newspaper personalities teaming up with the pros and battling to become the media bowling champion of Las Vegas
* Music, videos, giveaways, souvenirs and more

The Masters is being conducted all week at Cashman Center, the home of the upcoming 154-day USBC Open Championships, and the one-of-a-kind 60-lane bowling stadium will be the site of the ESPN-televised Masters finals, which will air live on Sunday at 1 p.m. Eastern.

Qualifying and match-play rounds for the Masters will be conducted through Friday with the four finalists will be determined Friday night. The winner will earn $60,000 and a two-year PBA Tour exemption.

There is no admission charge for qualifying, match play or Bowlfest. General admission tickets for Sunday's finals are $10 and can be purchased on pba.com.
