So did went into my basement and was looking at old bowling balls that I never use anymore. Last week I gave one away to a guy in league who was using a very old ball. My 300 game ball I’ll keep, b7t still have a few that I’ll never use again. I see people selling their old bowling balls online, but it’s really of no interest to me. What do you do,with your old bowling balls?

I occasionally see some at goodwill. The local Play-it-again used to have some bowling gear in stock but last time I was in there had shuffled the stock and the bowling gear was gone so I suppose they aren't even buying it anymore. The online used ball market seems odd to me - after the hassles of dealing with shipping, the seller seems to not make out that well, and after the costs of shipping and a plug and drill, the buyers don't seem to be saving over buying new, really.
I wonder if there's some way to "recycle" balls?

Find a local youth league or high school league and donate them.

Just something to note is that if you try to donate to youth leagues, Depending on the age/size of the youths. They might not be able to use the heavier weight balls.

Leave them on the house ball rack.
I was able to give a few away over the past couple of years but I still have some to get rid of.....

Generally speaking, I give some of my old balls away. The few that cracked over the years go into the garbage.
I have given four away, one cracked, and I've had a couple re-drilled so I can use them in a different way. I've never pitched one in the garbage. Of course, I tend to use equipment for a long, long time rather than getting something new all the time. I imagine many people have had more bowling balls in two years than I have had in a lifetime.

Some pro shops will take them on a trade and give you a few bucks off your new ball for your old one. They turn around and sell it as used. If the pro shop doesn't want them then I've just left them on the ball racks with the house balls. Someone usually snaps them up.
