500 Siaair factory finish yet polished? at first glance looks like a cheaper alternative for me than the hammer rip'd. maybe not quite as strong but the back end flip may make up for it

Still shopping for a new arsenal but haven't bought anything yet. DV8 was a new kid on the block when I quit but they are in my sites on my "must try" list. I actually saved this particular model to as one of my favorites for medium lane conditions on my "Might buy" list. Free would be better of course.

is it super aggressive? the 500 grit siaair is making me think this thing will cut through anything? thoughts?

It really depends on what conditions you are bowling on. If it's a heavy volume shot and then 500 grit could help but if you bowl on something low volume high friction then the ball could just burn up and not hook much at all.

It's 500 plus polish. That's not unusual. probably ends with a surface grit in the 5k-6k range

thanks - that is where I get messed up because this ball says it uses royal compound which says 2500 grit on the bottle. royal shine would be 5000. or are none of these comparable
