8-14" more snow due tonight threw Friday evening to pack on top of the 6 we already have. A flake hasn't fallen yet and we already got a call from the school saying they may be closed tomorrow. Two weeks ago it was almost 60 degrees LOL Gotta love the midwest.

How much are they saying for you? They say this every year, it's been a while since it turned out to be as bad as they predicted. As long as it don't turn to ice I don't care

I don't have a snowblower anymore, it got left behind at our last place. I just drive our truck up and down the driveway and squish it down LOL Hey it works

Got about 6" the last few days here in Pittsburgh, which played a part in my rough day. I work from home so let me wife and son park in the garage. Had to go out for lunch today so after they left I pulled my truck in the garage. Cleaned all the snow off but had ice on the windows and it was about 35* in the garage so figured it wouldn't melt so fired up my torpedo heater (which I knew was low on fuel). So go back into my office and start helping one of the new team members. Start smelling fumes so go back out and the garage is filled with white smoke and heater is off. Yep, out of fuel. So now I have to open the garage door to air it out and let all the heat out. Luckily the ice had already melted. So I leave and have to put it in 4 wheel drive to get out of the driveway. Go to the bank and the ATM is down so have to go inside to get money. Leave there and go to the store and when I pull into the parking space the truck stops and feels like it is going to stall. Come out of the store and back up and same thing but I stop and everything sounds fine??? Drive back home and go to back into my driveway and look down at my dash and realize its still in 4 wheel drive from earlier...lol. So I drove through town and to the store and back in 4 wheel drive. ugghhhhhh

School is closed here. We got nearly an inch from around 6 to 8. I haven't looked out since. They are predicting much more.

I remember back in 1967 when my dad had to drop me out the top of our front storm door window so I could clear the snow to open it. My dad had a 1964 willy's jeep and helped clear a path for the rest of the block to get out with their cars. All the neighbors came out to help but the first thing they did was construct a snow bar to keep everyone hydrated lol, the good ole days.

It's been pretty mild here across I-80 in Wyoming this year. I work for a Volvo Truck shop and it's been slow as it hasn't even been cold really. Windy yes, cold and snow, not so much.

It's almost 11am, it's been snowing since 6pm last night and so far it look pretty darn close to a foot so far. It's still steadily coming down. 1967 was a few years before my time but I was around for the 78 one. I think it was 78 wasn't it? 75,76 or 78 I don't remember. What I do remember is that our family room picture window was completely under snow and we were jumping out our bedroom windows on the 2nd floor plunging into the drifts. We made huge tunnels in them all over the yard. Not exactly the safest thing to do if they happened to collapse but as kids who thinks about that? We had a blast! Sadly, I doubt this will turn into that and none of my kids have any desire to have anything to do with the snow. It's a different time. To them, it's video game day!

we have had one of the mildest winters I can remember here in Utah.

Just for that, I'm going to FedEx a big snowball to Utah and have instructions for the driver to pelt you with it LOL
I've already heard from my sister in Las Vegas telling me how beautiful and warm it is there. Plus her comment "Sucks to be you" Next time she comes to town I'm gonna have some snow saved in the freezer so I can white wash her like the good old days when we were kids.

We haven't really had any real significant snow fall for quite some years. Enough to be a pain but we do tend to get those 3 weeks in a row of -0 weather snaps every year. All and all we could have gotten much worse.

Based on what I see sitting on top of my mailbox we got about 4 inches. Roads are clear.

Actually, it was closer to eight inches. A lot of it must have fallen off/blown off the mail box, or perhaps dropped when the mail man opened it.

LOL, Well it seems to have nearly stopped but now they are calling for a butt load more tomorrow and possibly sunday. I don't know the scientific measurement is of a butt load but I'll let you know when it's done.

We got close to a foot that ended about 8 last night. Expect 1-3 today and 1-3 tomorrow. We did not cancel bowling last night and did not have but a few bowlers missing.

NEVER miss bowling! Miss work, doctors appointments, school, your wedding or whatever but NEVER miss bowling! I'd tunnel out of here if I had to.

Reminds me of the guy that was by himself at the football game. Guy near him says 'is this seat taken?' Nope, have season tickets for me and my wife but she passed away. So the guy says well couldn't you find a friend to come with you? Guy says nope, they are all at her funeral

Finally got some weather resembling winter here in Utah. About 12" at my work between last night and all day today. Expecting more tonight possibly. Thank you phonetek for sending it my way🎳

My pleasure bud! =) One thing I'm not is selfish, always happy to share. LOL We actually got a few more inches the other day and 90% of all of it is gone. Send it back when your done I don't mind a bit. Most likely before it's all over we'll get one more decent one. Probably the end of April it will be 70 degrees then the next day we'll get 2 feet. The joys of living in Chicagoland.
