Well first night of the new season and of course I'd get stuck
on the worst lanes in the center lanes 9 & 10 which never
gives you a good rack always something off spot a little bit.

Well it's not the worst I've ever bowled but it's not the best
I've ever bowled either and since we were shooting off of
last seasons average I was well off of it but there is always
next week to get it back and maybe I won't miss so many
single pin spares as the 10 pin misses really got me tonight.

Got off to a slow start tonight but brought it back a little the second
and third games missed two baby splits that I should have been able
to make in the 4th and 7th frames of the 1st game but I didn't oh well
there's always next week I guess.

Well another crappy night with no carry and no pin action
it didn't really matter if you hit the pocket good or not the
pins just would not cooperate. I really kind of hate the new
winter shot they have put out and the new pins they put in
as they just seem kind of dead when you hit them.

Finally getting around to posting last week's scores well what I have of
them that is my phone died right after the end of the second game so
I didn't get to keep score on the 3rd game but it was a 210 game.

I'm going to make sure I have a full charge on the phone this week. LOL!!!!!

last game was a 210 for a 667 series not a bad night if I say so myself.

Okay on to last week's score if you can call them scores LOL!!!!!
We had a very, very, very screwed up shot they had someone
that came in and tried to fix up the oiling machine but they
just screwed it all up had oil all the way to the head pin with
no hook whatsoever so guess I did alright with what I had to
work with.

Okay on to the sorry scores bad but consistent I guess.

Well a little bit better scores this week they fixed the oiling machine
and almost got the house shot back........ well close to it anyway.

Well had a flip/flop from last week's scores they did just the
opposite from last week they went down every game instead
of going up each game.

My old knees started hurting after the first game so it was kind
of downhill from there on but oh well not all that bad I guess
even though I missed a few makeable spares I shouldn't have
missed which cost me a 600+ series this week.

Well this was not a very good night to say the least I was
waaaaay too tired to even show up at the lanes I started
to just stay home tonight now I wish I had. LOL!!!!

I do know next week if I'm this tired I won't be bowling at
all as they would probably do better without me dragging
the team down as I never did hit my average tonight.

Well got off to a pretty good start tonight even though I stepped
into something wet and got my shoe a little bit damp and tossed
one in the gutter on the first ball in the 3rd frame of the first game
but got it dried out enough to bowl with it for the rest of the night.

The shot just kind of disappeared the last game but that is pretty
much the normal way it goes around here, anyway hung 4 ten pins
the last game on decent pocket hits but at least I made all of the
10 pins I left tonight.

Not as good as week before lasts scores and since we didn't bowl last week
since it was Thanksgiving I guess I got out of shape or something like that. LOL!!!!!

Oh well on to the scores not all that good since we were bowling on some of
the worst lanes in the house for carry but done okay I guess at least the first
two games not my best but just okay.

Okay here is last week's scores I'm just now getting around
to posting them holidays and all and I've got behind not a
lot to brag about had shoulder problems and just couldn't
get a good follow through at all not to mention not being
able to get a good release either I still have a little twinge
in my shoulder but will see how it goes tonight.

Ok a better night tonight at least my shoulder wasn't hurting as
bad as it was last week still had a few pains shoot thru it causing
me to pull two shots in the 4th and 6th frames of the second
game causing the ball to go high and splitting.

What's your shoulder issue? Mine has been rotator cuff over the past 8 years.

Not sure what is causing it to hurt on and off as it has been doing it for the last
few months. It is just a pain that shoots down toward my bicep from the top of
my shoulder just every once in a while it is not a constant pain or anything like
that.

I just kind of figured it was maybe a muscle issue like maybe a strain or something
along those lines as it doesn't hurt all the time. If it begins to hurt more often then
guess I'll have to go see the doctor and get it taken care of.

Good night of bowling minus the few errant shots due to the shoulder.

With the shoulder, I've had rotator cuff issues and surgery and have in recent time had some similar shoulder
pain, after some observation it finally occurred to me that the pain started on nights where I began to try and
muscle the ball a little to gain some speed as an adjustment, instead of keeping my motion the same and adjusting my angles.
Since figuring this out I've noticed it several times in other players and wondered if you might be doing something similar.

My pain will hit at any time not just on league night I can
be laying in bed or setting in a chair and it will just hit all
at once.

I've noticed sometimes it will hurt for several hours and at
other times it might hurt for just a few minutes and then it
will be gone. :confused:

Hopefully it won't start hurting tomorrow night as it will be
league night and the team we are bowling have some super
high outrageous handicap. :(

Well another week in the dumps shoulder pain got me again
several frames especially the 6th frame of the 3rd game went
and tossed 2 in the gutter back to back.

I guess I'm going to have to break down and go see a DR. about
the shoulder pains just coming on at random and going away just
as fast as they come on but sometimes they last a little longer.

Oh well enough complaining about that now onto the scores.

Rough night, at least you know why it happened, now to get some film and testing to see why the shoulder is hurting like that.

I don't know what medical resources are available to you but I was fortunate enough to find a specialty Dr called a Physiatrist

its a non surgical orthopedic Dr that specializes in sports medicine. The idea is getting an evaluation from someone that's first interest

isn't surgery but rehab / strengthening / physical therapy to see if that can solve the problem without cutting you open.

Thanks Tony I'll have to see if I can find a Physiatrist type
of Dr. around here as we do not have a big selection of specialty
Dr.'s in this area but we do have some physical therapy places
around here.

Didn't bowl worth a flip again this week I might have to take off
a few weeks(months) until I get this shoulder issue worked out
as it is killing my average and (me) off big time.

from there on in the second and third games.

Well I got off to a roaring start last Thursday night but my
%$*& shoulder decided to flare up in the first game and it
really ruined my first game.

I was in the strike zone and had a perfect line to the pocket
had the first 7 in a row and bang the pain hit again it felt
just like I'd been hit in the shoulder by a Mack truck.

It really did a number on the end of the first game and the
whole second game was just painful to get through but all
at once the pain was gone well for the first three frames of
the third game then it was back from there on until the end
of the game.

It hurt me pretty bad Friday,Saturday, and Sunday and on
and off Monday and today that is why I haven't posted my
scores on here yet going to have to see a Dr. and find out
what is going on with it.

Well a little better night this week at least I didn't have the
excruciating shoulder pain as I've had the past few weeks
still had a twinge or two but not all that bad thank goodness.

They were a little more consistent this week a lot more than

Well another week and yet another flop I was kind of
under the weather been feeling kind of sick the last
few days with a head cold.

It really showed up the first 2 games started once to
call it quits and go home after the first game but hung
in there and made it through all 3 games but couldn't
hardly make a 10 pin.

Well finally getting around to posting last week's scores they
are nothing to brag about for sure the as oiling machine was
on the fritz and it was not stripping the lanes at all and it was
oiling all the way to the headpin which made for an interesting
night for sure.

I couldn't get any bowling balls I had to move over 3 or 4 boards
at most just had to move to the right and try to point the ball up
to the pocket but most of the time it would just slide off to the
right side of the lanes.

I hope they have it fixed by tonight if not I'm not sure if I'll even
bowl tonight oh well so much for the complaining on to the scores.

Lordy, Lordy another crappy night I was hoping they would get the
oiling machine fixed but..........nope at least there wasn't oil to the
headpin tonight as a matter of fact there wasn't any oil on the lanes
at all they said the lanes hadn't been oiled since Tuesday morning.

I was throwing my plastic ball down and in and throwing it as fast as
I could to keep it on the right side of the headpin and I was hitting the
pocket but just could not carry at that ball angle. I was hitting the pocket
pretty good and leaving stuff all over the lanes especially the 10 pin and
just could not make it like normal the ball would hook off at the last second
or if I give it a little more room it would slide off in front of it.

oh well so much for the excuses on to the lovely scores.

Well I just couldn't get anything going last Thursday night I went thru
all 5 balls in my bag and nothing seemed like it wanted to work. I went
to my locker and started to get my Roto Grip Edge Defiant pearl out to
try it and it was cracked from the finger holes all the way around the ball
back to the finger holes again.

I gave it to a friend of mine at the center so he could use it for target practice.

I wasn't really all that upset with it cracking since I haven't thrown it in over
4 years and it had just been setting in the locker. The strange thing is my old
Ebonite Evolve ball was setting just as long in the same locker and it was in
perfect shape which is what I ended up throwing the last game and shot a
halfway decent game with it the 3rd game.

Well same old crappy lanes different week I could have sworn we
were bowling on a dual pro shot tonight several people was raising
all sorts of &^%$ tonight about the lanes.

One lane was oiled down and the other lane was bone dry and one
pair didn't even get oiled at all.

I was doing a Belmo shot on the left lane lofting it half way down
the lane over the 6th arrow and playing way to the right over the
3rd arrow on the right lane and hoping it would hook a few boards.

If I could have carried the single pins the 3rd game I'd have had a
killer game but oh well it was not to be. LOL!!!!!

Well it has been a couple of weeks since I've posted my scores so guess I'll
get around to doing so. Not my best bowling scores but it certainly isn't my
worst bowling scores either so here goes I'll just post them all in one post.

They are about to get the lanes back into shape after they have been working
on the oiling machine trying to get the house shot back up and going for the
last few weeks.

get a 200 game looks like I'm down in the dump scores again.

I just can't seem to get it together and have 3 good 200 games
anymore must be getting the end of season blues or something

Well no scores for the 11th or 18th I took 2 weeks off from bowling
to give the old shoulder a rest and it seemed to help some.

I decided to go ahead and try to bowl last night and I didn't really
experience all that much pain not as much as I have before it did
hurt some after the 1st game and I couldn't seem to constantly
make a 10 pin for the life of me I missed 6 10 pins in total and 4
of those were in the 2nd game if I could have made those I'd been
knocking on a 700's series door.

Oh well at least I did better than a few weeks ago just one more
week of misery to go. LOL!!!!!!!
