Hi everyone. Been a long time since I’ve been here last.
I’ve been struggling for the last 10 weeks. Haven’t hit average once, throwing a lot of splits, missing spares I usually don’t. Due to work, haven’t been able to get in any practice at all this year. So frustrating. Was at 208 and now 202. I’ll usually toss one nice game, but that’s it. Tonight I went in feeling good, feeling positive, but shot 80 pins under. Just can’t break it. I think it’s my timing. I’ve been hitting my mark, but it comes up light. fingers crossed. Any suggestions or tips to break out of this funk?

It’s really hard to fix your timing without a second set of eyes watching you.

On your own about the only thing I can suggest is One Step drills so you can get a feel for the ball stopping its upward movement and starting back down as you go into the last step/slide.

I always suggest to take video of yourself to analyze. If you can't analyze it yourself, post the video up on Bowlingchat.net. They have some very good coaches that will analyze and suggest fixes for you.

If it is a timing issue, have you been having a difficult time posting your shot? If no, and everything physically feels fine. It may be a ball maintenance issue. When was the last time you had your bowling balls resurfaced and de-oiled?
