It took me about 19 years of bowling in leagues on and off, but I finally got there! This past Saturday, I shot 224-236-244 for a 704 series. This comes on the heels of shooting 700 exactly in a non-sanctioned league a few weeks ago.
My average in the sanctioned league has been in the 190s throughout the season, with a lot of up-and-down in each series. As recently as mid-February, in Week 23, my average was down to 194. But after adding a new weapon to my arsenal (Radical Katana Legend) and getting a little bit of advice from the PSO about how I was cupping my wrists, I've become very consistent lately.
Over the last seven weeks, my low series has been a 598, and my low game has been a 181. During that time, I've averaged 217.95 over the 21 games, with a high game of 247. So even though I haven't had any HUGE games, I'm really happy with the level of consistency I've had lately. And I've got my overall league average up to just shy of 202, now.
Still hoping for some of those huge games to come my way, but mostly I'm interested in keeping this level of play up for the last few weeks of the season. And, of course, I'm thrilled to finally be able to say I've got a 700 to my name!
