Well, I did purchase the Roto Halo and it's a great addition. One interesting thing I have noticed--besides the "hook monster as some call it"--is that when the ball comes back after a shot, I notice very little oil track on the ball. On a recent practice session on newly oiled lanes, I was also throwing a Storm Match Up and as expected saw the oil rings, but after a shot with the Halo, very little oil track. (playing inside and throwing the ball through the oil and out to 5 or so). I'm assuming that the Halo cover just soaks up or absorbs the oil that I'm seeing on the Match UP hybrid cover??

How much did you pay? I got one for $180 with inserts.

Not familiar with the Halo specifically but yes, a reactive coverstock will absorb oil where a plastic or urethane will 'hold' the oil on the surface
