So my BWG and my Squatch are polished. When I resurface them do I need to use the same polish as designated by the factory? I have Motiv polish cause thats what my PSO sells. Do I need to buy polish from each manufacturer?
Currently the BWG isn't polished anyway. I think I have it at 3000 wet on the spinner.

I would say you don’t need to. Even if you have the exact same sanding pads and polish as the factory and know the sequence, you can not exactly match the original out of the box finish. You do not know how much pressure the automated equipment uses, nor how long it spends on each step. Just use what you have and experiment to find what combination works best

Kind of what I was thinking.

Creating the Difference has a YouTube video showing the differences in "out of box" surface. The equipment coming out of the box had a variance in surface greater than 1000 - essentially you are not recreating the surface that equipment came to you at. Find a polish/compound that you like and use that.
