Hello everyone,

I am turning the tables and coming to you for help.

I am looking to learn Spanish as a second language to further myself. I am curious of what is a good software to use?

I have heard that Rosetta Stone is good, yet very pricey and not for a beginner.

So I am just looking for any help you can give me.

Chris

I've also heard good things about rosetta stone, I've never heard that it wasn't good for a beginner.
When I started learning Spanish in high school, we learned dates, months, how to tell time, basic vocabulary to start out with....then we got into conjugating verbs and sentence construction.
You might be able to start off with simple text books to learn the some basic vocabulary, but if rosetta stone starts off at a beginner level, I'd splurge for it. The fact that it has voice recognition to help you correctly pronunciate words will be invaluable to you.
Good luck! just remember, in Spanish....everything is spelled just like it sounds, so really, it's far less complicated than the English language!

definitely. Employers usually offered better pay to bilingual employees....I don't know how that goes now, with the economy being in the crapper....but if nothing else, it would give you an edge over other applicants.
