So thinking about ordering a 2 ball bag tomorrow morning. I have a 4 ball roller now but have 5 balls. Been leaving the Kingpin home but took it the other night. Thinking about getting the 2 ball bag for the Kingpin and then buy a plastic ball. Plan would be to keep the Kingpin and Rhino in the 2 ball bag and leaving it in the ball room at the center. That would leave my main balls as the Conspiracy, Squatch, Black Widow Gold, and the plastic ball. I only bowl at that one center but might try to get a few tournaments in this year. I need a few other things too so figured if I put an order in just get a cheap 2 ball bag.

Dunno, just rambling here but thoughts? I was 1/4 on 7 pins the other night using my Rhino. 2 were in the gutter 1/2 way down lane and 1 barely missed to the inside. The 2 in the gutter can't be blamed on not having a plastic ball. I was just way off on my targeting. My other missed spares could be because of my new release. Been opening my shoulders up and getting more rotation on the ball but I am also doing that on my spares to try to be consistent. The only difference is I tuck my pinky on my strike ball.

Don't buy the bag! For the price, you can book two lessons with a qualified coach. Stop trying to fill the void with bowling balls. Develop your skills instead!

Thinking about the coach too. I was 1/4 on7 pins the other night and 2 of those were in the gutter 1/2 way down the lane. Definitely user error there. Wife works with a girl that went to the Dick Ritger coaching school. I have no idea how good of a coach she is but she did get a full college scholarship for bowling. Her mother bowls at my center the same night we bowl but in the women's league. No idea what she charges though. But found a 2 ball bag for $30. It won't leave the center so not real concerned about quality.

I tried your suggestion the other night in warmups. Hit the Kingpin with 1500 grit and targeted the 15 board. Tried it 2 shots. Ball came in real nice but didn't need to use that line in the games. But did play the 10 board all night where I'm usually closer to 5-7 and struggle with tugging the ball when targeting 10 board. I did have trouble in the first 1/2 of game 2 with tugging but other than that I was able to hit the 2nd arrow consistently. But I don't have enough room in my bag for all those. Having a hard time deciding what to leave home...lol. I want to have an option for deep inside but don't think my other balls are strong enough in that heavy of oil. Unless I add surface to the Conspiracy then have the Squatch and Black Widow Gold for medium and lighter oil lines. But I really need more lane time deep inside to see how each ball reacts.

Have to say I agree with Rob here. Forget the bag and get some lessons. Bags are cheap you can find them used in good condition for $25- $50 don't worry about it as long as you can transport the balls that's all that matters. If you have extra money for bowling tournaments in another center than the extra money shouldn't be an issue for the bag then lol. From what I read when your on you do pretty well but your struggle with spare shooting costs you even on the good nights and on the bad ones it really kills you, Concentrate on fixing that issue and it will be a huge step forward for your game.

Definitely accurate there. When I'm on I can string strikes together but miss a simple 3 pin spare. Teammates said the other night it looked like I was tugging on almost every spare attempt but my first ball was right on target. And it is consistent, meaning I'll do it all night.

As far as the extra balls, can't really take them all without another bag. Not an issue now but if I get a spare ball then I need to either make room in my bag or get another bag. I guess if I do get a plastic ball I can leave the Rhino home as I really only use it for 7 pins (which lately I miss anyway...lol). Let's see how this week goes. I'm just getting settled in with the new job so really busy with distractions now but things should settle down soon hopefully so maybe I can get some free time to get out to practice or get coaching time.

Well congrats on the new job hope it work out well for you and yes the immediate move would to be to replace the rhino for the spare ball

Well 1/4 on 7 pins again tonight. 2 of the hooked just a little and barely missed to the inside. The other miss was in the gutter about 5' before the pin. Told the PSO to order me a plastic ball for next week so we will see. Hope it helps. I know the ball is only about 30% of my problem but at least get that out of the way. I did talk to a couple of the higher average guys in our league tonight and they said the can't use a plastic ball for spares but I'm thinking I can't do any worse. I was 44$ on spares tonight and 60% on single pins (6/10 and 3 of those misses were the 7 pin).

Well left the Rhino home tonight figuring I'd have the new plastic ball tonight but PSO said it didn't come in. So used my Squatch pearl for 7 pins. Ended up 2/4 on 7 pins. Better than I had been the last 2 weeks with the Rhino. It was actually easier as I just pitched it towards the gutter just in front of the pin and the ball hung on where the Rhino would just slide right off.
