Well I hate cosmic bowling and just don't understand why anyone would want to do it. But anyway, there were 4 of us (myself, son, step-son, and step-father). Bowled 4 games and I focused on playing the inside. My first ball I tried my normal Squatch out at the 7 board and it didn't turn in hardly at all. After that went to the Kingpin. My notes say it's at 500 but I'm thinking it's a little less than that. Anyway, couldn't see the arrows in the dark so just got as close as I thought I could. Targeted the 15 board all night with the Kingpin. Was still inconsistent but not horrible. Had a few that crossed over completely missing the headpin but many were a little light. Seemed the best I could get was standing on about 24 and throwing out over 15. I slowed my speed quite a bit. Was around high 14's but got a few into the 16's that still came back for me. Got one a little too far out and it came back to the pocket. Got a few others too far out and they never recovered. But my goal was to get comfortable following through and not tugging my shots when I'm inside. Also used my plastic ball for everything except the 1, 2, and 5 pins. Without being able to see the arrows it made them a little harder but I ballparked it and was happy with the results there too.

I wasn't shooting for high scores but here are my results

I like to Cosmic bowl every once in awhile just for fun when I am hanging out with family :) definitely would use it for any kind of practice though

Unfortunately that was the only time I could get there for practice. It wasn't really for 'practice' as much as it was to spend time with family but for me it was supposed to be practice. My wife, mother, and daughter-in-law were going away for the night so me, 2 of the boys and my step-father were going to go do something. Unfortunately my step-son had plans and had to leave at 5:00 to meet his girlfriend so we had to go earlier. Well the center has cosmic bowling from 1-4 so...I hated the conditions but enjoyed having fun with them. Just wish the lights were on so I could have done a littler better 'target practice'...lol

Cosmic/Moonlight/colorpin bowling is meant for having fun, it's not particularly a practice tool.

Though personally I liked Moonlight light bowling better (this is where they turn out the lights except for the pin deck light), It forced you to concentrate on your target area/lines better and form. It's like doing the closed eyes drills. I bowled much better back when I did it (They stopped moonlight bowling years back).

Rock & Bowl (Was when they played load music, plus it was around midnight) was good for learning to shut out external distractions and focus on what your doing.

There were no lights on other than the pin deck. Normally I can do ok because I'm used to targeting the 5-7 board so it was easy to tell where I needed to be but that day my objective was to target the 15 board and not tug my shots like I have a habit of doing when I'm that far inside. I was able to pretty much eliminate my tug but it was harder to tell if I was consistently hitting the 15 board cause I couldn't see the arrows in the dark
