So when/if we ever get back to the lanes do you guys think there will be a big sale on leftover balls? Our PSO ordered a bunch that was supposed to come in a week before we closed down. Just wondering if it might be a good time to replace a couple of older ones? I'm sure nobody really knows what will happen but just wondering out loud and trying to get some activity here...lol

My Black Widow Gold is over 2 years old and probably 150 games on it. I also noticed it feels like the feel is slightly different than my others like maybe a slightly different pitch or something. It reacts similarly to my Squatch so thinking maybe something for slightly drier conditions. That would leave me with the Conspiracy, Squatch Pearl, Rhino Black Pearl. The Rhino works on very dry lanes and I could probably get away with that but never really liked it that much.

Dunno. We will see what happens. Been too busy to even think about bowling. Me and wife are both still working. I have been working from home for almost 5 years so not much change there. I'm the team lead and we just added 8 new members to our team so I have been very busy with that. I'm a Systems Security Engineer and our job is to secure servers owned by a large federal agency so getting 8 new people up to speed isn't an easy task. Wife is a teacher and is now working from home. 4 kids all out of the house. Oldest is 32 and youngest is 25. All still working. Oldest is a detective, 2nd is a supervisor at a plastics manufacturing plant, 3rd is a safety coordinator for a large construction company and has been traveling from Pittsburgh to New Hampshire every week. Those are the 3 boys. Youngest is a daughter that is an independent financial advisor working on commission. Her pay has been severely reduced but she also owns 3 rental properties (6 units) but she has mortgages on those so not all 'free' money but she is getting by. Also been getting our boat ready and with the weather and my bad shoulder that hasn't been fun buffing/polishing/waxing that.

I am sure there will be some sales to "relaunch" bowling when it eventually restarts. The shops, especially here in PA, will have been out of work for a few months so they will need to do something to jump start their business. I did some "quarantine" shopping and got some amazing deals online on new equipment. Some of the major online shops are already offering package deals. I was able to get a package deal of the DV8 Turmoil 2 Pearl and Turmoil 2 Solid for less than $100.

Now that those of us in the "red" phase are stay at home until June 4th, there is literally 0% chance that bowling centers will be open prior to July at the earliest. PA will not reopen bowling centers until we get to the "green" phase, which means we have another month of "red" at least, then we have to make it through the "yellow" phase which will take at least 2-4 weeks, then we can go "green" hopefully by July. Shops will have been closed for upwards of 4 months by that time, so they will have to do something to move some inventory.

Wife said our center has a sign up that says opening May 8th but I didn't see it. It's in Beaver County but I live in Lawrence County. We are set to open some businesses back up this week but Beaver County is still red I believe

That's a good deal for those ball. Might have to start looking around to see what I can find.

Lawrence County goes to "yellow" today, however bowing centers, gyms, etc. cannot reopen under "yellow". Beaver County still "red".

I am in Montgomery County. We are going to be "red" to the bitter end since we are so close to Philly.

Beaver County just announced they will re-open next week whether governor allows it or not. DA says he will not prosecute. Greene County just announced it too. Looks like we may be revolting against the governor. Can't say I agree with most of his decisions anyway/

Just saw that! The DA said he won't prosecute businesses as long as they reopen under the "yellow" guidelines. That is still a no-go for bowling, spas, salons, gyms, movie theaters, etc, but it does mean some other non-essentials can reopen.

Hopefully the now "yellow" counties can continue to show a decline in new cases. If cases spike, the governor will just have more ammunition to keep the currently "red" counties red for a lot longer.

Yep. Just drove past the center and the sign says opens June 1st. And Butler County I guess announced the same thing. Beaver County had a bunch of cases and a bunch of deaths but most of those were at a few nursing homes. If you take those out it wasn't any worse than ant other counties around here

Found a Turmoil 2 pearl online for $69. That's the cheapest I found. Might pick one up. My PSO drills for free if you buy from him so not sure what he charges but for some reason I'm thinking $60 with inserts. I think the most I have ever paid for a ball from him was about $180 so for me to spend more than about $100 for an undrilled ball doesn't make sense.

I am jealous for you people opening soon. Please be safe. No word here in Ohio what is going to happen. Lots of thoughts swirling but nothing definite. Miss bowling a lot.

Must be nice. I have been entering online ball raffles for years from a couple of the online shops and never won.
