Would 3M Scotchbrite pads be just as good as Abralon or Sair sanding pads for resurfacing a bowling ball? I have done regular sand paper and wanted to try the Scotchbrite pad on my bowing balls. Has anyone used 3M Scotchbrite pads for resurfacing bowling balls? Plus the Scotchbrites are cheaper then the Abralon and Sair pads I think.

I have a document that actually compares the Scotchbrite pads to the comparable regular pads. As long as you are consistent with it I would think it would be ok. They make different color Scotchbite pads for different 'coarseness'. Just not sure there is one fine enough if you wanted to go a little smoother

I would use one that is about the same as a 600 grit sanding pad.
