The new bowling show "How We Roll" starts tonight. HOW WE ROLL, based on professional bowler Tom Smallwood’s life, stars Pete Holmes as Tom, a stoic Midwest husband and dad who gets laid off from a car assembly line and makes the extraordinary decision to provide for his family by following his dream of becoming a professional bowler.

Okay interesting start, He has a 210 average using what looks like a semi fingertip grip (or maybe conventional grip) and the same beat upball for TEN YEARS. His wife towards the end gets him a new Ball though, A black ball, no logos apparently. Thumb slug and finger inserts for a what looks like a semi fingertip grip (or maybe conventional grip)!

I watched it. Yeah he has a higher average than the PBA pros...on a THS...lol. Also wearing a wrist brace. And said the Greek church was harder to pick up than the 7-10...lol. Yeah I know it's picked up less often but that's for count reasons.

But all that said, I'd watch it again.Have my DVR set to record all episodes.

I have not watched the show yet but from the above clip it is not doing anything for bowling. I don't think it will last long. Steve

At the very least, I hope Tom Smallwood got some financial consideration for allowing them to use his story as the basis for this. That would be the only good thing to come from this.

I agree with you on this, Tom Smallwood should get royalties for sure!! We only watch it because it is supposed to be based on his life story, but yeah... It is not what i thought it would be.

I never watched Roseanne but to me it seems similar as to the comedy type show. In my opinion it's a very poorly written show but like I said, I'll watch it as long as it's on but I don't think it will be on much longer
