Have an interesting situation, need opinions on, as I've never been involved with this.

We bowl a split season, with the winner of 1st half playing the winner of the 2nd half to see who wins first place and who takes second place. Playoff is last week of bowling which is also the sweeper event.

Two members on the winning team of the second half will be at Nationals during the last week, so the team pre-bowled. Since the other 2 members did not know they would be pre-bowling, they paid extra for the sweeper.

Should the scores the two paid members bowl in the pre-bowl count towards the sweeper?

Definitely! The players who pre-paid did not know they were pre-bowling... not their fault. Since the USBC says that their team mates have the right to pre-bowl since they were bowling Nationals... also not their fault,

As Rob said definitely, Whoever pre-bowled their scores would still be used and counted. The prepaid fees (I assume they covered the bowling lineage and any extra prize monies) would still apply also Because they bowled, .
