I used my plastic ball the first game and bowled a 196. In warm up I found the lanes were kind of dry. I was throwing over the 5 board and the ball was hooking real nice into the pocket. The second game I went to my urethane ball because the plastic started leaving 7 and 10 pins. The switch worked out because I bowled a 211. By the third game I started running out of stamina and being almost 79 might have something to do with that. I started out with two spares and went down hill after that and posted a 115 game. Now how is that possible? I finally made an adjustment but it was done way too late. I was leaving single pins and missing them by a hair or I left a wide split I couldn't pick up. It only goes to show that the game of bowling can turn on you.

Okay...I was actually concerned that you physically fell.
I mean, I've slipped and stuck at the line...maybe once a year or once every other year. And, at just over 50...its not an immediate bounce back up and dust off. Its jarring to fall when you in your late 40s/early 50s. I can only imagine what an actual fall would be like approaching 80.
Most people that I see stick or slip and fall...they usually just bounce back up. Its more an embarrassment than an injury. I only saw one guy fall and be seriously injured...and that was a larger, older gentleman who...quite frankly...fell mostly because he had drank too much...and you hard a sound like a ball hitting the lane...but it was his head. You could immediately tell it wasn't the usual fall...because there were a lot of people in the area with "Oh my God!" and "Help" being uttered by numerous bowlers in the area. I think he was fine...probably had a concussion (and a hangover)...but it definitely could've been worse.
Good job on the 196 and 211 though!
