Fans Vote for Wes Malott vs. Chris Barnes for March 4 Xtra Frame Game

Three-Time 2008-09 Champ vs. Player of the Year to Clash During Free Xtra Frame Trial Period



SEATTLE, Wash. (March 2, 2009) – Subscribers of Xtra Frame, including those taking advantage of the free trial are going to be treated to the latest Xtra Frame Game, a fans' choice match that will air live on Wednesday, March 4 at 12 p.m. Eastern.



Bowling fans determined the final pairing with over 3,000 votes. Leading the way with 37.9% of the tally, six-time Lumber Liquidators PBA Tour Champion – including three wins in the 2008-09 campaign – Wes Malott of Pflugerville, Texas will take on the reigning PBA Player of the Year Chris Barnes of Double Oak, Texas. After the live webcast, the Xtra Frame Game will be available to viewers on demand.



The Malott-Barnes matchup won over a selection of matches that included: Sean Rash vs. Rhino Page (35.3%), Tommy Jones vs. Jason Couch (16.7%) and Patrick Allen vs. Mika Koivuniemi. (10.1%)



The Professional Bowlers Association is offering fans a free 7-day trial of its Xtra Frame subscription streaming video and multimedia service between now and March 9.



Xtra Frame offers live streaming of original programming and archived videos of ESPN telecasts in addition to final rounds of Lumber Liquidators PBA Tour events and exclusive player interviews. The multimedia service also includes the exclusive Pin Mapping feature during live scoring.



The Don Johnson Buckeye State Eliminator Championship will feature enhanced live scoring with the Pin Mapping feature. The PBA will stream the Eliminator Rounds of 12 and 8 live on Saturday, March 7 beginning at 1:30 p.m. ET.



On January 6 the first-ever “Xtra Frame Game” live streaming video match was carried on Xtra Frame.

Walter Ray Williams Jr. continued his domination over Pete Weber in televised matches using 10 out of a possible 12 strikes en route to a 257-199 exhibition victory. Over 50% of the 4,000 online voters chose the clash of two of the PBA’s greatest icons.



“In effect, this was bowling’s first pay-per-view match,” said PBA COO Tom Clark. “And the fans made a great choice. Who wouldn’t want to watch Walter Ray vs. PDW under any circumstance? Bowling fans now have a chance to pick another great match and then sit back and enjoy.”
