ARLINGTON, Texas - Bowling leaders from around the world got a first-hand look at the new International Bowling Campus as the World Tenpin Bowling Association Presidium convened March 6 and 7.

Representatives from nine countries were on hand for the meetings, which were hosted by WTBA President and United States Bowling Congress Chief Operating Officer Kevin Dornberger.

"It was a pleasure to have these very influential world bowling leaders visit the International Bowling Campus," Dornberger said. "There are some very important issues facing bowling at the world level, and I think we made progress in addressing a number of those issues."

Among the Presidium members in attendance were Jose Guandique of El Salvador, Veronica Rajii of Chile, Vivien Fung of Hong Kong, Danny Santos of The Philippines, Kim Jensen of Denmark, Ads Ophelders of The Netherlands, Bernard Pujol of France and WTBA Secretary General Christer Jonsson of Sweden.

"The facilities are very impressive, and we were treated very well," said Guandique, who oversees the American Zone as president of the Pan American Bowling Confederation. "The organization is very nice and this place is something everyone should see."

The World Tenpin Bowling Association, which is made up of more than 100 bowling federations, governs the sport throughout the world.
