My daughter has competed in quite a few of the WWPB (Western Women Premier Bowler's) events over the past 3 or so years. Yesterday she came home and told me she ended up bowling the Mixed Doubles at Yorba Linda. She hadn't decided she was bowling until Thursday.

Any how, after A squads 9 games of qualifying, she and her partner were sitting in 8th. They made the cut after both qualifying squads were done sitting in 10th for the Round Robbin match play. They were as high as 5th and sat in 6th for the position round. They wound up in 7th place.

The field was around 42 entries and included Wendy Macpherson and Missy Bellinder. I am very proud of her!

I can't remember the last name, but he bowls in regionals. Troy is the first name. She was told he was looking for a partner and she said he is a lot of fun to bowl with, so once they got in contact with each other, they were a team.

She also corrected me, this was her 4th time entering the Yorba Linda Mixed Doubles.

She's actually a former Youth bowler, she's in her late 20's. Unfortunately I didn't have the funds and her father didn't give her much support for her bowling as a youth, so she lost out on things like the JATs. Since becoming an adult, she has bowled the Women's Open, USBC Queens, CA State Queens, and other various tournaments.

She was ready to try the PWBA when they folded. She never got her chance.

I think that is it. Day 1 she said he was something like 400+ and she was around -22 Since they were a late entry, they don't show on the WWPB site roster list.

I don't think she will mind, her name is Angie Becker. A lefty, just like her mom ... but she's the one with the talent :p

Thank you all, I will pass it on to her. It is awesome to see her reach some of her goals.
