In the coming months, we'll talk with some of best-known bowlers at the Open Championships and get their thoughts on their time at the tournament and what it takes to succeed on the championship lanes.

This week, we heard from USBC Vice President of Media, Pete Tredwell, who will be in Las Vegas to compete in this year's event on April 5 and 6.

Tredwell, who will be making his eighth tournament appearance, is coming off of a career-high 1,782 all-events total at the 2007 Open Championships in Reno, Nev.

The accomplished right-hander is a former collegiate bowler. He was a four-year starter at Indiana University (1991-95), including the 1994-95 season when the Hoosiers spent most of the season as the No. 1-ranked team in the nation by the Bowling Writers Association of America.

Off the lanes, Tredwell is a two-time Emmy-award-winning producer for ESPN and was the first director-at-large on the USBC Board of Directors before joining the USBC staff in April 2008.
