I'm taking a survey. Which store do you prefer to shop at? I, of course, prefer Target and it's not because I work there. It's much cleaner and laid out better. I also think their quality of items is better. What do you think?

Target is nice, but, really, it's a woman's store. There's really not much for men to look at. Not much hardware or automotive, or much else men would like to kill time checking out while their wives check out all the girly stuff. A sale on towels or lamps doesn't do much for me. At least their electronics section isn't too bad, but the toy area could be a lot bigger.

WallMart -- in our area the Target is inconvienant to where we live and is a pain to get in and out of.

I love target...I love their swimsuits, purses, jewlery...and their kids clothes are awesome!
But walmart wins. The walmart in my town is actually a test store. They tested out a new layout and some other ideas with flooring etc.....so it's actually pretty nice and very clean. When I moved away from home for a brief period of time, I would actually drive 45 mins home just to shop at that walmart...because the other ones are too dingy.

Target is nice....but I can get groceries and other random obscure things at walmart in one trip, for less money.

I work at a Super Target and they sell groceries. Hey Jord 84 have you noticed that there are so many more guys than women on this site? Do you have any kids? I'm just curious. I have 3- 2 girls and a boy.

yeah lol, us women here are definitely outnumbered!

I have 2 children....my daughter(2) and my son(6).....and if you count my 83 year old grandmother that I care for full time, then I have 3 kids!

I have to laugh, I'm potty training my daughter....so I've got one child getting out of diapers, and another child (grandma) getting into diapers.

Target to me is too overpriced. You can get the same items at walmart for like 30% cheaper.. Target is nicer BUTTTTT with $ being liek it is I would say Wal-Mart wins

Well I guess Walmart wins the survey :( Oh well I guess I am prejudice and lean towards Target because I work there. Wow Jord 84 you are a busy woman with 2 little kids. My kids are grown and moved out. When do you have time to bowl?

once a week! lol
twice if my hubby let's me go practice on friday nights.

the kids are a piece of cake....grandma is the time consuming one, I can take my kids with me...grandma is a shut in, and if I'm not home with her...then I have to arrange for a babysitter for her lol

Yeah that must be hard on you having to take care of your grandmother. She's lucky to have you. I've seen a few of those nursing homes and they can be really depressing. My mom was in a sort of one but she had her own apt. there was another section with assisted living people who were really bad off. She died in 2002.

We bowl once a week too.

Walmart is way better in my opinion. I tend to visit the Automotive section often and they have a way better selection. Also Walmarts fishing section is way more up to par than Target. I think the layouts are also better at Walmart. Target everything seems to cluttered together. Just my opinion

Walmart, yet Target is by far easier to get through in a rush

Well now I'm convinced that men prefer Walmart and women prefer Target.

I had to point out Jord's view to the little woman. The exception that proves the rule? (I've managed not to go to the new Kohl's so far. Nothing there for men, either.)

Walmart, I have actually found myself doing alot of my grocery staple shopping there since they recently upgraded our local store.
In a perfect world I would say neither, that I would rather purchase from someone local in my community, however that is not the society we live in anymore.

Wal-Mart; a lot closer to home, one-stop shopping, can get oil changed and shop while waiting, within walking distance of several restaurants if I want to eat while my car is being serviced. Target seems to be offering lower prices than when they first opened in town, but Wal-Mart is just easier...as long as I go early in the day!

Target is my 1st choice, but my wife goes to walmart....
